Could be an air-leak or an issue with the throttle body. Id remove the TB first, give it a clean, and make sure you refit everything tightly and see how you get on.

Could be any if the above, if you do clean out your throttle body, go through the reset/re teach procedures. My 04 De ran so much better after I cleaned my tb and did the resets. These can be found on here, can't remember where exactly tho

Thanks for all your posts. Nissan have confirmed that it requires a new throttle body chamber. Hopefully that will rectify the issue. I'll let you know....

edit - Unless you bought it from nissan and its under warranty.

Hi Sam McGowan, it has a 3 months warranty with a small garage where I bought it from. They local mechanic was trying to fix it but couldn't locate the issue, hence the shout for help. After persistent pestering he booked it in at Nissan and agreed to cover the cost.
