JDM flip key

do the internals of a UK & JDM key differ, i brought a key fob from ebay to convert my fob like many users have done however my internals do not fit and I am left wondering if it is my internals or the fob. The fob i brought is the same as another member and they say there swap was like for like with no messing around :S

I am having the same issue with 1 I bought at the moment. It seems to fit ok but just not quite right, so when I tighten up the screws the bottom button doesn't work. It's frustrating 🤔

You may have to chop off one of the side bits to make it function correctly. I can't remember which side it was, but you should have 2 bits joining the buttons that look like [ and ].

I'll knock up a video asap as Im doing mine. Mines a UK and upon looking, will fit ok

Yeah mine just doesnt seem to fit, the circuit board is too tight and the battery is too small, obviously i can get a larger battery, the current battery that fits inside mine is CR1620

Are you guys trying to use the clear jelly circuit board surround in the new flip key? I had to trim the very edges so the sides joined when screwing it together. As for the bottons not feeling right I had the same issue, I got a thin tissue and put it between the bottons and the circuit board and kept adding thin layers until the buttons got the feel I was after.

Uk battery size is cr2016 (3v) if that helps.

I got a replacement today for my JDM it was CR1620 so i imagine JDM and UK are different
