iLott Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Forgive my ignorance, but what's the supposed benefit from this Russ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
russyb Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 it is basically an open or shut valve to stop hot coolant from entering throttle body so theoretically lowering intake temps
ZeppoJeff Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Been having a read up about them and it seems its pretty pointless in the uk. Basically its for places like florida where its hot and you want to stop the warm coolant going through the throttle body. Its cold enough in the uk that we dont need it. 1
cascade88 Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 I have one and it's a massive difference when feeling the plenum around the tb - now cool whereas before was too hot to hold. It's correct we ain't the hottest country around, but it's more of the effect the hot coolant has rather than outside temps.
fake ben taylor Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Why fit a valve? Just remove both pipes off of plenum and connect them together 1
russyb Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 (edited) gives you the option if british wintertime ever gets low enough you should need it, pretty self explanatory.... Edited July 4, 2016 by russyb 2
