Windscreen washer not working but activating headlight wash!?

I know this has been covered on here before, but my windscreen washer hasn't worked since I've had the car, and thought it's about time to sort this out!

 

When I try and use the windscreen wash (front or rear)it activates the headlight wash initially, if I try again it won't do anything to any of the washers at all.

 

Anyone had this or any ideas why it's doing this, before I start ripping bits off to have a look?

Get under the bonnet and check the hose connections. That would be the first place I'd start looking, see if you're actually spraying the fluid in the engine bay.

The headlamp washer operation is normal but very annoying.

 

Have you got water in the front and rear windscreen reservoir ?

 

Have you checked that both pumps are working?

Where is the rear windscreen reservoir?

The front and rear windscreen washer reservoirs are combined and the pumps fit into the reservoir bottle.

So if my front is working and not the rear, then it must mean that it is clogged somewhere in the rear?

Or your rear pump is not working.

Right, I didn't see pump(s). I thought there was just 1 pump that does both. Will try and find some time to do it.
