Why?

Good question

So why then? another car? property? drug problem? hooker problem?

Well new property on the horizon, in fact i could do with some advice on a mortgage. I love the car but at the same time i fancy something else which is confusing.

Dont do drugs although hookers are another thing ;)

'The Lotus is going, I don't need this car, the Lotus is going, I don't need this car, the Lotus is going, I don't need this car.....'

Dammit, the Focus was the only thing that was going to be had, this has thrown a spanner in the works! :headhurt:

I thought it was you over on ITR-DC2.com

Cant believe your going to sell up.

Any plans on the replacement??

DC2 maybe ;)

Neil

 i know me niether, it was a snap decision to sell up. i hadn't really thought about it much until last night..

Yeah maybe. Need to do what i originally planned and that was to get something cheaper. thing is i cant live with something boring. Im tempted by the DC2 or if i can find one cheap enough something that will mile munch (330d or AMG CLK). Im open to anything really as long as its not too boring.

Nice, I really like these. Looks good in white too. Integra Type-R isn't it. What the hell is a DC5?

DC5 is the model number.

Basically it was preceeded by the DC2 & DC1

Kinda like the 3 Series went E21, E30, E36, E46 etc.

If that makes sense??? ;)

Sinbad,

Some VERY nice DC2's on the forum sales for about £5k including one in Kent that I'm seriously tempted by...should leave you enough pennies over to fluff about with after selling your one :)

Yeah cheers mate, im keeping an eye on the dc2 forum, their usually well kept on there. need to sell mine first.

Kev - thanks! Dont know if youve been on track with any DC5's but there meant to be great on track and show alot of more expensive stuff up.

I think it only lapped the nurburgring 1 second slower than the s1 exige. However im not sure if this was the DC2 or DC5 model. DC5 is meant to be slightly quicker on track. As with the exige it would be better suited to some of the UK tracks too.

If anyone has any ideas of what to get next im open to them, so fire away.

The Honda V-Tec engines are great. It's the most common ugrade to the S1 Lotus.

As for a replacement, I guess it depends what you want. Assuming 10k budget.

1. For luxury how about a BMW 840i or an Jag XK8 or XKR

2. For performance and practicality, Evo or Scooby

3. For fun a Elise

£6k???

Seat Leon ;)

I have a Cupra which fantastic in all honesty.

1.8 20V Turbo

180BHP

173lb Ft Torque

Based on the Mk4 Golf Chasis, is practical & fast :)

Could even look at the FR TDI's 150BHP Diesel??

Both would be possible I think within your budget.

Honestly though if it were my cash...DC2 or EK9 Civic :teeth::teeth:
