HaydnH Posted February 24, 2016 Share Posted February 24, 2016 The bonnet bulge is the main thing, although there could be DE cars with replaced bonnets so that's not a 100% sure fire way to tell. However as all the above, check inside the hood (double intake for HR, single for DE) to confirm as bonnets and headlights can be swap. LloydZee Posted February 24, 2016 Share Posted February 24, 2016 HR Bonnet bulge. HR Twin intakes. The HR also has brighter orange reflectors I noticed. The DE have a dull dark orange colour. Cleaner looking engine cover, whereas the DE has the 'half n half' sort of look to it. HR Headlights don't have an orange reflector down the side and also the actual headlight unit is larger inside. HR rear lights are more modern looking too if I'm not mistaken (maybe hard to tell between the DE facelift and HR?) Nope, as I mentioned above DE revup cars have the better headlights too. When did the front slats change? Was that for Revup? Yup, revup. Trust me chaps, the only single external OEM difference between DE and HR is the bonnet. Everything else could be found on a DE-engined car (as long as it had a revup engine in).
