-Bradders- Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Anyone do it? need all the seals and the bearings if poss? found loads of kits for other cars but cant seem to find any for the 350 box?! Cheers. Quote
Jetpilot Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Prohibitively expensive i would imagine, not the parts the labour. I would be more inclined to get a decent working box from a trader. Quote

I suspect that would work out more expensive than a rebuild kit/parts though wouldn't it? Not to mention the big question mark over "how long until this box develops into what I currently have?" martybhoy Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I'd always rather pay slightly more for a freshly built box than worry about the used gearbox going anytime. Good thread. I'd like to see any kits out there. 1 Quote
ZMANALEX Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 If you want to rebuild your box then simply just strip it and replace the parts that are causing the issue. There are to many parts that give issue and providing a rebuild kit to cover all eventualities would not be cost effective. Quote
Jetpilot Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Do you mean buying a 2nd hand box and swapping out? Over rebuild cost? Quote

Mikey Thompson Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) I got quoted £660 for a rebuild of fourth to fifth crunch. Including removing box etc. which I thought wasn't bad. Using parts from Nissan too Edited February 3, 2016 by Mikey Thompson Quote
Jetpilot Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Good price, but your only talking a synchro mesh or two, not a full bearing/seal etc 1 Quote
-Bradders- Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 Gearbox just has worn bearings, labour it costing me about 200 as its a retired friend doing it for me (whole life has worked on gearboxes) he just asked me if i can get all new bearings and seals/gaskets!? It's ok Ewen is sorting me out i believe. Quote
