Y pipe bolts - Can I grind them off?

Changing my exhaust - I was going to delicately remove my old one and keep it but it's grotty as anything so I don't care about it.

I was going to just cut the Y pipe with the grinder and grind off the bolts. Is this ok? The bolts aren't studs that are integrated to the cat or anything? Should I be able to cut them then bang them out?

Best to try and save the studs that are part of the cats (front part of Y)

Yes, they can be cut off and replaced with bolts, however a bit of heat on the nuts should facilitate removal.

The bolts were a mess, really rusted. I just cut them pressed them out with a ball joint splitter. I got everything replaced using little ramps on my driveway and I'll say I didn't like it!
