I agree - See I went to do the penny mod only to find the previous owner has already been there (although there are only 2). I might fire in a couple of rubber washers and see what that does first.

Take the spring out of yours and get a slightly longer, stiffer spring from a spring supplier. yup that's pretty much the direction I'm going in. I'm just looking to skip the process of taking out the spring, driving somewhere to a find a spring supplier etc etc and just buy two off ebay

Nope... these will need to be purchased depending on the system in your car ie BOSE or not@ £40.00 you can afford to buy the adapters - The stereo is a bargain!. I've had one of these head units, fantastic especially if paired with a sony or other android phone.

Just fitted one of these and can confirm it is HUGE - It does feel like a big weighty quality item - Haven't driven it enough yet to decide whether it's too big or not.

I'm intending installing a magnetic dock to hold/charge my phone. This will involve getting creative with a dremel and some fibre glass. I would love to have this part spare to mitigate against any balls ups! Thanks!

Yeah I think the safest option is just going black rather than trying to get the wrap to match anything

I contacted the guy to see if he can colour match to the leather - he says he doesn't colour match but if you can find the right wrap he'll use it.
