bytespc Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Bummer......track rod ends...one failed one advisory so both to be replaced .......sob Quote
FiddyZed Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Is that a pricey job? Did you have any signs before hand or was it a shock to the system? Quote
MIGWEL Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 If its the outer tie rod ends then thats not so bad. Theyre normally a quick fix but get tracking checked afterwards. I know some people count the amount of turns taking off and repeat number of turns putting new one on but past experience i would have tracking checked Quote

Ricey Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 On the plus side some people spend hundreds getting their car to steer better so after a period of skittish steering you're in for a treat! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Quote

a2orry Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Track rod end wear happens gradually .you probably wouldn't feel it at the start .when you get it back you should feel the difference. 1 Quote
andy10v Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Did it fail due to play or torn boot? If play it should be noticeable, if just a torn boot its not noticeable when driving until it develops play. Quote

If play it should be noticeable, if just a torn boot its not noticeable when driving until it develops play. Excessive play was the verdict. ...have to wait until Monday before it's done..
