  1. I don't think I've heard a good report about **** to be honest and if naming and shaming stops it happening to another forum member then I think they should be named.

Unlike a lot of the traders here they don't really contribute anything to this forum.

edit: Just remembered, nurrish paid them a lot of money too for his car to 'develop' a missfire

  2. Been meaning to post this for a while but keep forgetting

Just wanted to say a big thanks to CS and Andy for the work carried out on my car last month, I had the following done:

    Exedy Clutch

    Helix Flywheel

    Braided Clutch line

    DS2500 Brake Pads x4

    Aux Belts

    MOT

    Chromolly Clutch Pivot Ball

Rear Anti Roll Bar Drop links

    P3 Service

    Discs resurfacing

    Alignment

All work was spot on and its a real pleasure to have the car back :)

Only thing I'm still not sure about is the lightweight flywheel, I sound like a transit van on idle and a granny over revving the car on take off

Gearbox and clutch are super smooth now after a bit of a realignment and fluid change and now I don't creak like a pirate ship going round corners :drive1

I did work up quite a list of stuff but was advised out of it as half of it wasn't needed - I appreciate it when a trader gives advice rather than just seeing the £££

    Thanks mate :)

  3. I agree but the 100% throttle won't make a difference to the way you change gears. I do agree that the box won't hold up to abuse, I think the clutch will give up first. There is issues know about 1st to 2nd especially when cold.

I never rev full on first and throw in second...I instead drive of a bit in 1st and then throw in the second and then wohooaaa! Also trying not to hit the limiter... finding that a bit harder... sounds lovely

    +1 on that

I find that around the 6000rpm mark is the best place to shift when driving spiritedly, taking it any further results in a clunky shift.

  4. I thought you had finally gotten it painted a propper colour in the second pic (Azure). Unfortunately I was left disappointed... :p

Looks great mate, never seen GM look so shiny

  5. 20 seconds of power to the windows after turning the car off to allow you to roll up the windows if you forgot to do it before switching the car off.

As if the UK car doesn't have this!! Windows after ignition off is invaluable, I hated the fact that my focus didn't have this as I was always having to put the key back in to do the windows

  6. There is a much better/easier way of tripping the ESP/TC off, just brake to a slow crawl and lightly apply the handbrake until the car comes to a halt. Should trip both leaving the lights on permanantly until key turn. :)
