Also a few months ago my boss had a bmw 330 that was in for service and the courtesy car they game him was a 335d. Was rapid.. faster than the Zed id say (well it felt it)

Trev, sorry i know but i haven't got a camera at the min! Basically, its fine at the bonnet catch but all around the other 2 edges it sits bout 3mm higher than the other panels and leaves an obvious gap

They are the idiots if they can't appreciate a good car What type of Fujitsubo exhaust did you go for and how much was it fully fitted? I like this type of exhaust as it seems to have a real metalic sound (like an aston martin howl) which sounds amazing. Does it drone on the motorway at all or is it only when you floor it that you get that lovely noise ?

Yeah i do like the sound. Its just the FGK factory exhaust, was fitted when i bout it (was one of the reasons i bought it ) It doesnt really drone, its just when you put your foot down or first thing in the morning when the engines cold. Really noticed the difference when i had the pop charger and Y pipe installed though. Now it sounds

I agree that in most cars you turn up the sub and not the other speakers but in the zed the sub is a crappy piece of paper!

I found in mine that the front speakers provide most of the bass and the sub only gives you a bit of a kick in the back.

I also tried replacing the sub with an OK one but the amps couldn't power it!

So in short, no you cant change the bass independently!

If im going along at 70mph and press 'reset' on the average speed for example, it thinks im doing 85 . . . .and will say average 85 etc ... . even though the digital readout where its getting the speed info from says 70 . . .

 

 

its weird.

Average speed in the km/l display is in km/h. the only converted bit of the digital gauge is the km/h display (whick is in mph)

Does that make sense??

Cant get to my car yet so cant have a look, is the gap because one side of the bonnet is higher than the wing vertically in which case can you adjust the mount near the windscreen. Somebody clever will be along soon.

Yeah that's it, didn't know you could adjust it vertically, only horizontal!

To be totally honest I haven't looked properly, really knackered after the 6 hour drive!

Just picked up my Seibon CF bonnet and although im pretty impressed, it seems to sit quite a bit highr that the OEM one. Leaves a gap that when driving you can actually see through and out the side. Ripped the rubber seals off my old one as i heard its best to fit them but there are no holes for the poppers!

So how do I lower it? (if i can)

And should i drill holes to fit the rubber seals??

Ok so i'm picking up my carbon bonnet from martin today in cumbria. Im from birmingham. I dont want to take a transit as its a 3 hour drive but i cant get a bonnet in the Zed! (obviously).

What im thinking is driving up with my bonnet, disposing of it and then fitting the new bonnet to come back.

So my question is where would i dispose of a bonnet?? (for free) (legally)

Or any other ideas??

I've got a Fujitsubo and i absolutely love the sound! Only problem is people shout "slow down" etc but im no even going fast! Anyone else get that or is it just me? I was driving (not flooring it) down a road today and a lady started waving her hands and as I drove past she was shouting "idiot..idiot"

Cheers... i'm very happy. Had the JWT single Pop Charger on my last Z and it was great but the tone is totally different with the Dual's.

 

I've made a few recordings but my girlfriend is laughing her ass off so i'll have to wait and do some when i'm out on my own.

 

Need to think of the next few mods now as itchy feet.

Thinking decat / sleeper exhaust... Any recommendations?

Im no expert but from what a few members have told me -DONT GO DECAT. Apparently you loose sh*t loads if torque. High flow cats seem the best way to go noise wise!

Had one of those days bud, got it out to take a pic and it rained again. I think it does look pretty cool. In Cambridge now on the way to work so cant take any photos. Think you may have the honour of posting the first one, it looks pretty good though, the triangles extend 2 inches back on each corner and apart from that its a very nice Seibon bonnet.

That's cool.. Will post pics when i pick it up on Sat!
