  1. What I will say is think very carefully, as commuting is an absolute killer for life. Stuck on a train, stuck in traffic, it’ll soon suck the life out of you and make any job suddenly seem very unworthy of your precious time.

I’m not saying I wouldn’t do it, but it would have to be the job of a lifetime/short term to rack up big bucks for retirement to make me ever consider commuting to London from where you’re talking about.

*Disclaimer, I take no responsibility if, for any reason (including, but not limited to, it being bigger or smaller in any way) if it doesn't.

    *that’s what she said

  3. I don’t see it that way: more like there were faults with those early cars but they didn’t have the tech to catch it, now they do and rightfully they are withholding production to get it fixed before sending cars to buyers. It’s one thing to have paint that looks great to people who aren’t really looking for things like that, it’s another to have paint that falls apart apart after two years to consumers.

  4. For a car where they’ve clearly focused on driver involvement over outright performance (look at the changes to the suspension and brakes alone compared with a dodgy dyno run of power increase), it seems odd to not focus on driver involvement.

However, you are right when you say simply buy another car. Cos that’s exactly what people are doing.

Dan, it's like you didn't even read the article.

    It's not just 20hp.

    It's a "noteworthy" 20hp!

I bet you feel silly now.

I do. I feel absolutely imprudent with my choice of words.

  6. So why not offer both, like the GR86 and GT3? Give the choice, see who actually buys one rather than who answers a twitter survey.

Hell, charge more and make it a cost option! But no, that would be too easy.

  7. I’ll say it here once, even though it’s obvious really: if you buy a Zed for the dragstrip, you’re an idiot. Even more so in ‘Merica, where there’s a billion better options.

But yes you’re right, this is down to money. Which is what the 400 always has been, a finance exercise rather than an engineering one. It’s always felt like a parts bin special rather than anything interesting or new.

Just remember the excitement of 2002 when we all saw the 350 for the first time, it was genuinely something incredible. I could forgive the 370 being mostly the same car given the success of the 350, but to do the same again but seemingly with significantly less thought it unforgivable.

"This measure effectively removes Band A under the graduated VED system (for cars registered on or after 01/03/01 and before 01/04/17 with a CO2 emissions). As the Band A rate is currently £0, these vehicles will be required to move to the first band where a rate becomes payable – in this case Band B."

Unless I'm getting confuzzed here (likely), the above suggests that our 2015/2016 C1 and Aygo will become payable.

Literally the top line says this only applies to electric vehicles.

So our two runabouts, a 2015 C1 and a 2016 Aygo (currently zero VED) will be zero no more?

No, the changes only apply to zero emission cars. Whilst the VED for ICE cars may still change at that point. It’s not covered by these new regulations.

I see you're still moaning about everything happening in this world!  🤣 😘

I went back in 2009 and thought it was okay, but nothing special. Best memory was watching Hamilton go up the hill, but that was a blink and you’ll miss it kinda thing.

I would imagine you had more access than regular folk? Or did you just go in on a regular ticket?

  11. 1. Too expensive, for sustenance when there as well as entry price.
    2. If you haven’t booked a hotel for next year already, you ain’t gonna get one.
    3. Very little to actually see there (from friends who have been for the last few years including this year). Lots of electric stuff (yawn), and precious little from manufacturers that you could get anywhere near either.

    4. Waaaaaayyyyyyy too many people there. Seriously, it’s heaving.

Smaller events are far more interesting to me these days.

Thanks guys, absolutely loving the car, even more so than the coupe version.

Me and fellow local Zed friend at a classic car meet the other weekend

  13. How often do you check pressures? And how often do you change?

If you use your car a lot and change pressures constantly then sure, but some, but if it’s very little as you suggest I’d rather spend the money on fuel. Where are you planning on monitoring them?

Lol that gearbox handles up to 500hp as proven by Abbey, Kaizer and co. Lool. I guess they know something we dont. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

There is more Torque with Twin Turbo. Im sure the top supercharged Z had around 400 ft lbs or slightly less. Im assuming Nissan want over 400 ft lbs that might be why

Its not a DCT and will need programming as there were some shift lag on press cars

Americans are pi ssed off but hey Nissan never had intention of making the Z a supercar. Im probably one of the few that saw some potential to emulate their race car and further develop a supercar esq version with AWD. The GTR seems to be the reason the Z never went further.

Youre not even getting an All Wheel Drive Version like the M4 comp or TTRS which would put the car in top performing territory and justify 60k. Youre basically getting a project car with red pin stripe from Tochigi. Lol

Is that not what Nismos of late have been anyway? It’s a trim level, not an M/RS/AMG competitor.
