Haha good thinking! Could do with sticking one of them in the Highlands! Went to Ski Dubai and it had better snow than most winters up here!

Probably a few skiers/boarders on here, was wondering if anyone can recommend a cheap and cheerful winter sports destination, couple hours flight from these shores with guaranteed snow. Getting fed up with the lottery of the Scottish resorts, was up this weekend and it was complete crap!

Strange one this. Before I went away I got my renewal letter through from Directline. Price had gone up from £450 approx last year to £480 this year, bit surprised as I'd now shifted out of the 17-25 bracket and had another year no claims under my belt. Shopped around and really couldn't beat this, then wondered 'what if'........ I do back on Directline, fill in the exact details as is on the renewal in the online quote thing but as a new quote. New price £414!! Little bit sneaky I thought, obviously loyalty counts for nothing! Called up, told them what i'd done and they honoured the online price.

I think its in the drivers footwell somewhere but i'm ready to be corrected? There's never been any sign of a leak but I saw the offending BCM and it wasn't pretty.

Called Mackie's this afternoon, £44, not bad. Need to wait till i'm back. Yeah I asked if they'd sorted the leak and he said yeah there was a plastic clip missing that wasnt holding something flush shut so they've sorted that too. Its good to be back!!!

Got the car back, pretty much 3 weeks without. The BCM had filled with water and was deceased. Part arrived on Monday and is fitted. Stung me, all in, with fitting, VAT and a call out when the problem was originally spotted, £728. BCM was £350, vat about £100, the rest was labour. Not how I wanted to kick off the festive period. Still have to program the keys with Nissan apparently.

Think we're heading to The Cellar for NYE then across to Irish Village. Been a couple times before, its some place. 360 out back of Jumeriah still tops the list for me though.

First Christmas in 8 i've been single, too many memories back here. Booked in an all you can eat and drink buffet for Christmas dinner, gonna feel very strange. Doing an RS4 saloon experience at the autodrome and plenty indoor snowboarding.

Call me scrooge but i'm not getting a tree or any decorations, could be something to do with the fact I'm going to Dubai for Christmas and New Year! Goodbye cold cruel Britain!!
