  1. Was probably a good idea at the time - just wait for it to freeze tonight
  2. are there any Chavvy wives/family this year - normally they look as though they are on day release! its comic!
  3. Oh dear .... is she having a wash in a bath there and her hubby has been taking pictures - thats a bit odd is'nt it? What a strange bathing costume?
  4. Trying desperately not to go on here and at the same time understand how to do this stupid upgrade Iam supposed to be doing - only 20 pages of German english to read! However in the corner I can see Lucy is flicking through telly channels and wow there is some new (well to me) $***te on there! I know we have covered the crap ads on the telly last year but that Goldman (super hero dressup in a Capri) is really taking the biscuit - 'show the dog the rat'! ffs!! Well not only do I really detest the Comparison adverts more than ever before especially the fat opera bloke one - you know which - But the worst thing is the adopting a polar bear ads! No worse still the drive 5 miles less to save on carbon emissions crap!! Sure I will just park up on the M56 and walk to Wales the last 5 miles should I? Forgetting the ads though a new programme to cringe at is this 60 minute makeover thing?? What What!!!! Lets just show you up in front of all your neighbours shall we? Sorry rant over - its no wonder this country is flushing itself down the toilet! Roll on summer so I can escape outside!
  5. We have to thank the health and safety brigade for all this but then again its all down to the lovely were there is blame we will sue your arse off culture we imported from overseas!
  6. We're saved they must have obviously read this thread - they have changed to a shortened advert now in the daytime that does'nt include them at all - obviously not the IT couple they thought they are! I love IT!
  7. I assume you have a fake tree then....? No one can be soooo mean that they deny their better half a xmas tree for 6 yrs.......?
  8. Can just see the yanks assembling a 1:25 scale replica Unless its from Texus where everything is so much bigger than here!
  9. Same here although its dropped some needles its one of the best ones we have ever had - if I could take cuttings I would !
  10. I'm pretty sure they breed like mice. I ended up with a boot full of needles and a broken dyson..... Well the dyson is great at coping with it but really like building dust your not supposed to use it for that are you? Makes a nice Terene of muck and trees needles in the see though chamber That would ruin my expensive solid oak floor mate that I put down!
  11. Build a raft........ Surely they have some carpet or matting they can put on top of the platform? I hear cat litter will do if you cant get salt!
  12. Took the tree down - as carefully as I could and put it in the back - I have vacuumed everywhere there was a trail of needles, but even so I am still finding them? Do they grew new ones? I just know I will keep finding them for the rest of the year!
  13. Makes you wonder how the human race survived before eh!
  14. I know been meaning to do it but between pushing next doors beemer off the drive just now and work been a busy bee! Tree has come down now though
  15. Went for a walk in the hills a few days ago and snapped this Superb mate wish I could get away and go for a walk just to take pics and enjoy the day but limited to an hour for lunch as normal Husky know what you mean I temporarily stopped traffic - stuck in the middle of the road junction the other day in the 300C - to be honest the 300C has amazed me how good it is in this weather but inclines, snow ontop of ice even defeats its RWD system - I managed to carefully rev and release rev and release technique (with the ESP off) and eventually it pulled through fortunately everyone on the junction was pretty good and left me to it. But not a nice feeling! Have you tried reversing out of there maybe? Give it a try ? Saw a G35 doing that the other day and it worked. The best car I have is the one awaiting its restoration - the Beetle was the only car I ever had that never got stuck or slid anywhere in this weather (of course we have Lucy's Suzuki 4x4 which has been ace this week)
  16. I know its getting to me a bit being stuck at home but I am so happy not to be spending those 3 hours a day on the motorway! Best to keep the Zeds at home folks Sorry I could'nt help myself had to sneak just one picture from this morning - the mist rising off the river quite moody!
  17. What a waste of decent vodka - just use that Vlaady cr@p from Varrington instead - its only good for cleaning drains! ICI's finest!
  18. I think thats part of the problem they wont pay the gritters the overtime - so they would rather we all suffer - well lets see how many claims they get for personal injury etc! Apparently there has been a rush of people buying cat litter instead of salt as its supposed to be good? Get yourselves down to Costco and buy in bulk even if you dont have a cat!
  19. We are in North Manchester in a world far far away! Yes the water freezes again below a certain temp anyway so salt is ineffective - maybe they should cover the roads in Weetabix - that stuff is bomb proof!
  20. Well yes you are right Colin but when they fail to grit the main A roads into town - I have not seen any gritters anywhere here not even at night or the evening - they seem to be concentrating on the motorways and nowhere else - which is a personal worry for me as you know Lucy is due anytime in the next 2 weeks Fortunately we have her Grand Vitara which has been an absolute gem in this weather
  21. I know what you mean mate - they still have not gritted any roads here this week not even the A roads - its just the slush from cars driving that has moved anything out of the way. Working from home again - thank goodness for modern tech why they dont let us work from home anyway is beyond me but dont get me ranting about that! Maybe they can offer a council tax reduction this year , no bins picked up either - oh why is that because they never gritted!
  22. Sounds like a good idea Colin and dont even think of taking your new beast out in the snow - it will vanish into the background for a start!
