these two are my favorite at the moment though

Top row, 5th from the left. Is that a Rolex Daytona? B) That's my favorite watch.

I'm watch mad too. Just can't afford how mad I'd like to get

  2. nice flaps :teeth:

    Looks to cold for me

Thanks  Everytime I blast past an old geezer in his Buick I imagine him admiring my flaps at the next stoplight.

They're embarrassing for sure but keep my paint intact. My winter wheels are also sunken in a bit so the whole winter package is ugly but it works.

  3. Fortunately you live in a country which continues to opreate in cold conditions. We shut down. Prime example the other day, pouring with rain about 5pm but set to clear and freeze overnight so the gritters were out in torrential rain, washed away in minutes. :headhurt:

Nothin' stops us northern yanks. We're a hearty bunch. Go south of the Mason-Dixion line and it's a whole other story. They shut down everything if it snows.

We're due for another storm tonight. It is getting old :surrender:

  4. I think you'd be better off using that Jeep Wrangler behind your Zed in the 2nd photo ;)

You would be shocked at how well the Zed performs in snow. My only enemy is ground clearance. I do wish I could store her for the winter but I drive 40 miles a day to work and I LOVE driving so it makes sense to do it in a nice car. I'm not a garage queen kind of guy.

  5. Just thought I'd post a few pixs of my winter "beater"

5 degrees today (-16 centigrade) today. I've got some Michelin snow tires and the Zed really does well in snow. We average 80"+ a year

  6. The yellow one is beautiful. Lambo rip off or not, it's pretty. I wish Ford would copy a Bentley Brookland. At least then I'd have a shot of owning something that gorgeous.

  7. I was just on Breitling's website and right on their home page they make it clear that no certified dealer is allowed to sell Breitlings on the internet and if they do, Breitling will not honor the purchase. :scare:

There aren't any dealers around me. That sucks.

TAG do the same. I had one stolen in a burglary and I found the replacement online but the insurance company wouldn't allow me to buy it and gave me vouchers for a heck of a lot more to get the replacement model.....!! :teeth:

That's cool. It really pays to insure your jewelry. My wife has several high dollar items and we schedule all of it.

  9. I don't wear any jewelry but I do like a blingy watch. The nice thing about the higher end watches (Rolex, Patek, Breitling) is that they hold their value. At least in the states they do. If you take care of your Rolex, you can sell it years down the road for nearly what you paid. They can be an investment like diamond jewelry.

  10. Not that well known in the UK, they get sold on QVC and the like over here and some shops.

I think most people think they are Rolex Copies and as they are not sold in jewellers they arnt that good.

Movements are good for the money though.

Very true. The Pro Diver is a direct copy of the Submariner but I don't want to spend $5,000 for a watch. I agree wholeheartedly that at least it has a good movement.

  11. Anyone here on this site a fan of Invicta watches? I just picked up a 26 jewel (Sellita SW 200) swiss made Invicta Pro Diver with blue MOP dial and solid end links.

This is my 5th Invicta. I'm very satisfied with their quality and cost. We have a shopping network here in the states that is the largest vendor of Invicta watches and they have some unbelievable prices. I'm wondering what kind of reputation Invicta has in Europe.
