  1. It's exactly that reason that I am what I am! I was normal before, did normal things, had normal interests, shared them with normal friends, even when they didn't want me to. The pressure gets to you after a while. Hmmmm, I smell oranges
  2. YEAH, HER, THAT'S WHAT I MEANT, BURN HER, BUUUUUURRRRRN HER!
  3. BLASHPEMERER!!!! BURN HIM, BURN HIM
  4. I bought a new build with my first longterm girlfriend many, many years ago. It was right at the time of the housing boom when interest rates were at their highest. We managed to get our snagging list sorted by refusing to exchange, and threatening to pull out if they weren't taken care of. The builders soon got it rectified. It was after we moved in the problems really started. Both of us had left our parent's homes to buy this place so didn't know what to look out for 'til it was too late, call it naivete if you like, but we were quite young. Within months the cracks started to appear, only small ones at first but soon getting much bigger, we put it down to the settling down thing, I guess. But after only nine months the whole thing collapsed!!! I wasn't expecting that, I can tell you. Anyway, certainly opened my eyes up to what I should look out for in future. She's married the guy she ran off with, got a couple of kiddies too, I believe. I guess I'm over the hurt now, and have moved on. The house was fine, still standing after almost 20 years, they really build 'em to last, innit.
  5. Embrace it, brother, embrace it. It doesn't hurt at all
  6. If I get some overhead lifters and some four barrel quads, oh yeah, and a fuel injection cutoff and chrome plated rods?

    My new toy!

Yeah that's the place. New somebody who lived there. His flat was huge and his living room was formerly the surgery. Did he have nicely padded walls?

No, The building in the pic is called Bovey Castle, it's a country club/hotel/golf course place. I didn't even know it was there until yesterday. We were just out for a jolly and stubled across it. The place you mean is called Moorhaven Village now, it was Moorhaven hospital before. And a proper cracker factory it was too! Here's another I forgot to post yesterday, It's a restuarant just outside of Bovey Tracey, don't know the name, I was just looking for photo ops Pic deleted
  9. Spotted me This afternoon on the road to Mortenhampstead, Flashed at me, so I gave a wave back. It's a first for this boy, so I got all wobbly about it

Definately not!!! It's gonna be locked in the garage, and I'm taking the keys with me. Lisa keeps threatening to use it when I go offshore! I know that I've posted this bit before, but just to reiterate; When I shoud her the pics of the kerbed wheels on here, and said how unlucky it was to have happen, plus all the replies of comiseration, she said "so what, I do that all the time in mine"!!!!

    My new toy!

Thanks a lot lads, I can't tell you how chuffed I am, I love it. You'know, Dave, I haven't even begun to put enough miles on it yet I think it really is possible to fall in love with an "inanimate" object, y'know that whole last thing you think of at night, first thought on waking in the morning, thing I've enjoyed going through the post, looking at what others here have done with their cars, gives a good indication which way to go. For the wheels, I'm a bit conflicted, I like the black spoke style or at least the very dark spokes, but I'm worried about quite what to go for as the wrong ones will look REALLY wrong, and I'll only have one chance to get it right But the first purchase will be a rear lip spoiler, I think the car looks a bit bare without one. Then possibly the head unit, I quite like that Kenwood 7200 touch screen set up, but we'll see. I have the base model brake callipers which don't look as hot as the brembo's through the wheels. So it's either an upgrade much later, or a slap of paint temporarily, not sure. OH decisions, decisions

I'm lucky in the respect that I had the money sitting in the bank. I didn't need to take a loan or hp to get it. That said, I still do need to recover from the £14k I paid for it. Roll on pay day next moth

    My new toy!

For the immediate future, I'm just gonna enjoy what I have. There are some mods that I'd like to do, and because it's a base model, I have a blank canvass to do what I want. I've already been looking at wheels, intakes and whatnot. I had the garage fit a HKS speed defender before I took collection, so it's been delimited. I'll be ordering a stubby aeriel soon, and I've been looking at multimedia head units today. For the minute, though, my bank account has taken a bit of a hammering, so I need to let that rest up before I consider new bits. Plus it's hard to justify more "unecessary" expense to the other half
  15. I just got a £40 petrol voucher come through the post from Barclaycard

Okay, to stop you lot nagging me, here's the first photos of my car. They're not really what I'd like to put up since they were done in a bit of a hurry. The were taken up on Dartmoor yesterday, and the weather was sh!t, pouring with rain and just horrible. I'd like to have put in a couple of nice ones with the prison in the background, but the visibility up in Princeton was horrendous, and you couldn't see it in the very well from the road, maybe next time. Hope that you like 'em
  18. Hi, and welcome from another noob I picked my Zed up two days ago and I haven't stopped grinning yet (not even in my sleep ), so much so, that my face really hurts now

    Jetwashers

Nice one, thanks lads I've used pressure washers before on other cars/bikes, after reading many of the posts here, I had doubts. The car's not filthy, or loaded down with big lumps of muck. It's just that after following the odd transit on wet moorland roads it got cover in the spray that got thrown up, which then dried and it just looks, well grubby. I'll give it a go. Gently
  20. Do you think that its okay to use these (from a safe distance) to wash off light road grime? I was driving through country lanes today and picked up a fair amount of road spray which has made it look grubby. As it's just had a full valet I don't want to give it a full on wash just yet, so wondered if this would be okay?
