Forgot to mention, only looking to spend up to 5k Wont get anything that entertaining for me but I will be taking every opportunity to drive the Z instead anyway! ;0

I too am considering the DNX-5220BT. I only want to change the headunit if it's relatively simple and I do not want to lose the steering wheel functionality or bluetooth in the car. I have no intention of changing speakers, I want to keep everythign else apart from the head unit oem. What will I need in additional to the DNX-5220BT?

Now that I have the Z (pick her up tomorrow) I need to upgrade my girlfriends car. She currently has a Ka but we have 2 boys so need something a little bigger. She doesnt want anything any bigger than a Focus so we're looking at Focus's or 307's. Any other suggestions as to cars about that size that have a decent size boot and are reasonably comfortable for 4 people?

Is this something that is resolved on newer models?

Rang up my insurer (Directline) today to let them know that my car will change from a Mondeo 2.2 ST TDCI to 350z 313 on Friday. My premium went up by just £11 for the year! I was really surprised, my "hot" Mondeo must really be steep on the insurance!

Only 5 more days to go and then I have a nice 2 hour drive back from the dealer to my home in my new toy!!!! !!!!!

I think its all looking rather good. I think they're doing the right thing by sticking with alot of similar styling to the 350z, it's different enough to be a true new model rather than a facelift but not changed so much that they could really mess it up.

I like the look of it! If it was out next year I would of held off getting the 350z and save up for that but I guess 2010 is still a way off

Yeh, it replaced Gunmetal Grey. I had a 04 Gun Metal grey before my Mondeo and I cant honestly tell the difference. Paints4u also said they suspected K51 but I think I will wait until I get the car and check under the bonnet. K51 is also referred to as Precision Grey. Did the deal on the car on Sunday but it had a little dent in passengers door where some plonker had opened another door on it in the showroom so I have to wait until next week for that to be sorted. It's a 313 GT spec with Alezan leather, no satnav. Love it, can't wait to pick it up!

I dont even pick the car up until next week but I want to get my accessories in order. Anyone know the Nissan colour code for Twilight Grey? Thanks

Ok, I'll give my local MK ChipsAway operative a go on the wheel then if we all think the match with the other 3 wheels will be perfect.

Wheel comment is interesting. The one blemish on my Z that the dealer wont sort is some kerbing on one of the alloys, nothing major but kerbing all the same. Chips away able to sort that without taking the wheel away and what will the match be to the other 3 wheels?

Just cleaning my girlfriends car and noticed lots of little chips which could do with getting sorted. I've never tried Chipsaway, whats peoples general opinion? Might have them sort the chips on her car (she can be the guinea pig) with a view to using them to sort anything I find on the Z when I get it.

Well, I have now brought a 350z! Went for the car shop one. Got a good deal on p/x so I am well chuffed. Couple of little scratches on it which they have assured me will be sorted before I pick the car up next week

Seems a great price for the below. The description of "300 GT" must be wrong as it has the hump on the boot so must be a 313? http://www.carshop.co.uk/used-cars/view ... 300-gt-3dr Heard bad things about these car supermarkets but presumably any mechanical issues that may crop up would just be dealt with by any Nissan dealer under warranty anyway so I need have nothing more to do with the above dealer once I have the car?

I've been checking down the backs of sofas, busking etc... and have managed to stretch the finances that little bit more. If I can get a half-decent p/x value on my car I can now look at models up to £25k. But, if I am going to stretch myself for that one price I want a 08 model with less than 5k miles on it. The search begins next week! Given up trying to sell privately now, a lot of time wasters out there!

The Redline one is tempting but the p/x valuation was a little dissapointing (can't be that desperate to sell cars). There is another at a local Evans Halshaw but I am not sure how generous large dealers are with regards to p/x when compared to smaller garages?

I too had a 04 Zed and found that I definetely got a better fuel economy (wasnt sure about performance) on super unleaded (used to use Tesco RON99). I will also continue to use Super Unleaded (V Power as Shell is just down the road now) on my new one!

Private sale of my Mondeo just fell through (buyer couldnt get loan to pay for it) so looks like I have to re-assess. Maybe try seeing what the dealers will do on p/x although it's tight already so can't really take less than the private sale value.
