  1. Personally I would be suprised if Nissan would offer to sub much of the cost of changing it. It's pretty common for a new model car to have an early "facelift" and this could include any number of fixes/changes, they could set a risky precedent for themselves if they started subsidising customers upgrading to newer versions of equipment.
  2. Yeh, judging by alot of the stuff being done to the 3.7 unit over the pond etc.. already it's looking like this engine is just as open (if not more so) to changes than the old 3.5 lump. The future is bright Don't get me wrong, I think the Cayman is a nice looking car, it's just not for me. The Z (old one's and new) always leaves me with a huge grin on my face after a drive. I also like the fact that the 370z does seem to be very rare (at the moment) and certainly does get a lot of positive comments from people that see it
  3. Well, I am only 550 miles in on my 370z but already know it's a huge improvement on the 350z (even with keeping it under 4k at the moment). Also, I am sure my Z does have speakers in the back along with the sub? I will have to check in the morning, maybe you were in a base model or something? The Cayman is lovely handling car but just a little common and to me is a poor man's 911 (I think I'll run for cover now!).... just joking
  4. Spent the day today removing my wheels, thoroughly cleaning them, 1 coat of Poorboys wheel seal (love the smell of that stuff!) and a coat of Collinite 476s for good measure. I have to admit I used some "Wonder Wheels" to remove some stubborn brake dust that just didn't seem to want to shift, I know it's a bit aggressive but did the trick with very little effort on my part
  5. I'm liking that alot, nice one! Not sure about it with the Nismo's on though but I never was a fan of that particular style.
  6. Great vid, does highlight how lacking in sound (of any sort) the stock exhaust is. The Berk seems a little quieter than the Stillen but still a lovely sound to it.
  7. Love the colour of the wheels
  8. Definetely, the car looks totally different at night in artifical light. Love it!
  9. Sounds awesome but I'm looking for an exhaust that looks as stock as possible and that looks a bit "Max Power" for me
  10. I have to say I have no complaints regarding excessive cabin noise (road noise or engine) yet, granted I've only done 300 miles on mine so far but did MK to Hemel today down the M1 and then back up the A5 and I really didn't notice it being any worse than the 350 was. Can barely hear the exhaust but I'm still keeping it under 4000rpm so maybe I'll hear the engine once I can open her up a bit more.
  11. I generally use Poorboys Wheel Seal but if I don't have that available I just go with Collinite 476s wax. Seems to hold up fine even though strictly speaking it's meant for the paint
  12. Just tested this on mine and can't re-create the problem.
  13. The 2010 model is definetely a worthwhile upgrade (obviously depending on how much it costs you). Music box, higher res screen and much enhanced sat nav.
  14. It's probably something silly to do with maintaining a database of post codes, zip codes etc.. that the manufacturers feel there is no need for. Anyway, I love my satnav (with postcodes), bird view is fantastic
  15. I ordered a touch up kit from thescratchdoctor.co.uk. They match the paint using the code and it arrived today. Looks a pretty comprehensive kit. You have bottle of "first coat" which appears to be just the white colour, then "second coat" which is a pearly white and then finally a bottle of lacquer. You then have wet/dry paper, applicators etc.. All for under a tenner. Hopefully won't need to use it for a while.
  16. I didn't have to buy anything for my other half, infact she brought me the carbon fibre fang cover as a gift for the new car! Oh wait.... now she's hinting at a Qashqai!!!
  17. I enquired with Milltek on the exhaust system for the 370z and they say they have no plans to develop a system for this car
  18. I tried to source this touchup from my local dealer today. They showed me a technical bulletin from Nissan regarding paint code QAB saying that as the paint is perlescent any repair requires bodyshop attention and therefore touch-up sticks are not applicable. What a cop out! Will be ordering from a local paint mixer or get that US stick!
  19. Updated the pics but the camera is not really bringing out the detail too much.
  20. The finish is lovely and the fit is very very snug, I think even without the double sided tape it wasnt going anywhere. I had to trim about 1.5cm off the bottom edge (that you can't see) otherwise it was hitting the black plastic aero lip thing underneath but that was a 5min job with the dremel. I'll get some better pics online asap in better light
  21. Yeh, I am considering spacers but won't be lowering it
  22. Yeh, I wasn't planning to p/x but the deal was good enough to convince me
