just got me a pipercross fitted after inspiration from lomoto. fitting was easy, although it did take me 4 hours because i'm useless. i did have a bit of a problem though, in that the air guidance duct to the standard airbox put pressure on the pipercross filter, and when i test drove it, it fell off. don't think it's best practice to drive around without any air filter!!! hoping there's no problems caused by this. . .
here's the pipercross before i removed the air guidance duct
after it fell off, i removed the air duct. had it on and drove a few miles, hammering it, and it's still on there. the sound is generally more aggressive but only really sounds more than stock when in 3rd gear and really pushing it. i'll post a soundclip if anyone can suggest how i'd do it
here's the pipercross withoug the guidance air duct
i've not shown the whole engine bay as it's filthy and not in a sexy way

had a civic type R that revved its balls off for 3 years and never a single fault!!!
hondas are reliable but remember they don't usualy have to cope with 300bhp. i always thought that the more power a car has to handle, the more it will need maintaining and parts need replacing.
i'm getting an aftermarket clutch fitted soon which is said to last longer than the stock ones. i'm looking at about £500 all in for it. it'd be interesting to see if you have to pay for yours replacing and how much nissan quote for it. keep us posted (and good luck with nissan)

if you wanna be more like james bond and get away with speeding, a nancy flippy number plate is not quite as effective as:

wonder what i'd get for a trade in. . .
it looks a very good price as that car is valued at around £22000 on whatcar. i'd definatley check it out with RAC but could be a bargain

where abouts in manchester? it's buggin me, i recognise it but can't place where it is. nice pic btw.
The foreground, and small roof is at Trafford road bridge, near Pamona docks, the background is photoshoped in.
ah, you cheat. . .but you are skilled with photoshop. i was thinking of the salt mine or whatever it is in salford.

it's not unlike a lambo either if you look really quick and then look away again. . .

i'd love to achieve 25 mpg. . .
usually end up with about 300 miles per tank before red light comes on and seem to average about 18 - 21 mpg
-
Although i've had a few button making moments in the wet even with the traction control on. you should have heard the noise the missus made
-
It costs £70 to fill up...?
It costs me at least £60 - £70 and I never leave it till nearly empty. Can't risk running out. . . But then again it does cost about £1.05 per litre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
what an offer, money for talking about the z! my missus would give me money to shut up about it. . .
sorry, i don't fit demographic either
-
i vote you sell them to me and then i'll powdercoat them
-
that's comedy. pmsl esp considering how much the missus loves the real adverts.

I sold a set of 4 for £400 about 6 months ago.
guess it's expensive if you want the luxury of having a gt4 alloy as your spare wheel
Except it's not a GT4 alloy.
I was thinkin that
Ooops

i remember someone else selling 3 as well...hmmm
at least it's a private sale so you don't have the embarrasment of other people knowing you bought 1 wheel for £500 - second hand and refurbished.
-
bet i can change gear faster then anyone ever if i bought some 'fast and furious' driving shoes and gloves
-
where did you get your car from mate???
me? i got it from Arnold Clark in Salford but it was on show in the Warrington branch. i've since serviced it properly and TDI fully checked it before the 30 day Arnold Clark warranty expired.

this site is definately the best. no-one takes the mick and burns you down in flames regulary. . .honest
oh, and there is such a wealth of knowledge
joking aside, and enjoy

Faster gearchanges! Is a short-shifter a good idea with a lighter flywheel?
from what i've read, a stumpier gear knob would be as beneficial as a short shifter, and easier to install and use. think this would be more useful really with the 3.9 final drive, as i'd need to do another gearchange before reaching 60mph, and 2nd gear would top out in the late 50's.

i think on the evo 400 it's a bit more integrated rather than stuck on, which is esentially what this is, or am i wrong? you're right though, don't think it suits the car at all.
