  1. You don't need card protection for this. Once you start the dispute process the onus is on the merchant or acquiring network to prove the transaction is legitimate (which they won't be able to do). I had a similar thing with a BarclayCard a few years ago - they handled it very well and sorted everything out pretty quickly (and I didn't have card protection). [EDIT] Was it a debit card or a credit card? 'Cos what I said above applies to credit cards. [/EDIT]
  2. He had some MY06 300PS jobbies (at Bedford I think) but he's just got rid of them I believe. Whatever, if you think about it the cost of brakepads and tyres (+ more!!)will be built into the cost you pay for using someone else's Zed on the track. You may as well use you own and learn how to handle your car! There are plenty of track days out there which offer training - although in my experience they teach you the lines for the track you're at and not much more. There are a few places which are more oriented along the lines of car control in general. Plans Motorsport at Dunsfold are very good, and they teach you on the Top Gear track (and you'll get your name on the Pistonheads power board as a bonus). There are also the "Walshy" days at North Weald in Essex which are highly regarded. I'm booked in for one in March so I'll report back after. If you're more northerly I presume there are similar schemes near you.
  3. Hmmm... how many miles was that again?
  4. You reckon it was one of his pals inflating the auction If so he'll still have to pay the final value fee to eBay. fixed fee on vehicle sales on Ebay , they dont go on price achieved Yeah, I know. But if he didn't sell it he could have saved himself £30 by pulling the auction 24 hrs before close. Ah well. Who knows what really happened!

  6. Blinkin' flip! I only paid £895 more than that for my '06 plate GT, with 6k on the clock just over a month ago from a Nissan main dealer in London! And he gave me over the odds on my trade in!!
  7. "If I can't get all this stuff in the Zed heads will roll!!" Thangyouverymuch
  8. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. LOL! That is my preferred spot as it's outside my house (permit parking in road so don't always get that space). I've managed not to kerb the alloys so far by parking a taxi ride away from the kerb. Sign post is easier to avoid by parking the other way round and making passengers wait until I've got out of the parking space before letting them in!
  9. I am impressed! Zzzz... don't sell the sticker - think of the damage you'll be doing to the resale value!
  10. I guess so. There seem to be a few floating about. It was registered in March 06 - is that before the MY06's were available? Needless to say it was cheaper than a MY06! Thanks for the welcome chaps BTW.
  11. Because you can't get a bike in the boot of the Z due to the strut brace. I have a car bike rack but it's not going on the Z - that's what the gf's Fiesta is for!
  12. Hi, I thought I'd introduce myself. I've been lurking for a month or so. I'm also a member of the "other site" (same username). I picked my Z up just before xmas. It's an 06 plate MY03 GT. I doubt I'll mod it much (if at all) - boring you may say! Here it is: Looking forward to a track day or two when the weather's a bit better! Cheers, Tim.
