Used to do exactly the same mate, but on civilian aircraft.
Now a freelance designer in the same industry. I'd be on the tools again in a second if they'd pay me the same as I'm getting now.
I miss tapping the glass too. I'm thinking of doing something completely different now, but don't know what yet. Love your avatar btw, Napoleon Dynamite is a brilliant film.
Sounds cooler than what I did. I was based all over the place. Started off at Wittering (Cambs) then N.Wales, S.Wales, Falklands, Salisbury Plain, Scarborough and various oversees detachments.
My eyes are bad now, but that's from years of onanism!
I was an avionics technician, RADAR, Comms and Flight Systems fault finding/guessing and generally sitting around talking cobblers.
What do you do dude?
Just been re-reading the posts and missed yours old boy, sorry, very rude of me. thanks for the welcome. It would indeed be interesting to know how many current or ex penguins are out there.
What trade were you?
Regards.
Nick
haha, mine did when i saw Cheryl bending over at the coffee machine and got a good look of her wobbly bits.
Then i had to say what on earth she was doing buying coffee from that machine and proceeded to tell her she is very brave and hopefully will still be around later to perform from sipping the worst coffee in the world!
You smoothie
Are you sure it wasn't Gun Metal? I think if you just call it blade silver you will be giving Captint more ammo in his GM vs Blade crusade
I'm not up to speed on his crusade dear boy. Don't wanna p155 him off as he's sending me a tonneau cover today.
