well, just to revive this one. I parked in a supermarket car park last night after work. it was a 100 space or so carpark and only had about SIX cars in it. I drove straight to the back and was the ONLY car parked in the entire row. Get back with my shopping and despite there being about 95 spaces some total TW*T in a (yes you guessed it) PEOPLE CARRIER with a child on board sign had parked right next to me! Not just right next to me but so close I had to crawl into my car sideways! Now there are only three possible reasons for this because it just had to be intentional: 1. they were just doing it on purpose to annoy me as their car was sh1t and covered in dents and scratches 2. the kids must ask the parent to park there so they can look at my car 3. whoever was driving couldn't park and needed another car to line up next to I wish i'd taken a pic because it was a total corker - although i was really cross................

yeah its probably due to his synthetic pants! But yes, if you get hold of the door on the metal when you open it and then get out it should discharge the electricity. I get them off light switches as well, bloody annoying, but funny when you zap someone else!

I used to suffer with this all the time on a previous car. It got to the point where the guy at the local newsagents made me put my money on the counter because when i handed it to him he got a shock! It does bloody hurt though! I still get shocks off various things but not the zed thank god!

god i am so sorry to hear this horrific thing! I am an ex horse owner myself and am always aware of the fact that there could be one round the next corner on a country road (same with tractors and motorbikes!) I am just not sure how the law works with migrant workers over here with cars. I had a house full of latvians next door to me a couple of years ago who were working in a nearby factory - they had cars with latvian plates and drove around like total lunatics in our tiny village. I presume as they are not registered with the DVLA they are literally untouchable in terms of speed cameras etc? I hope your wife gets over this in time and gets back on another horse - give her my best wishes.

so what do you spend most on - the car or the horses? Hoof oil is a bit cheaper than carnuba wax i reckon nowadays! I used to have horses many years ago - do they still use hoof oil or is there a spray on quick detailer for those now as well?

Whereabouts in York are you? I've seen another sunset near Strensall roundabout once or twice and I waved to a couple in a sunset the other morning on the ring road on my way to work near clifton moor.
