  1. Bridgestones are summer tyres. They dont have much grip in the wet. For winter you should buy some goodyear f1's

Disagree with it being the most common, got to be Silver or Gunmetal unless your from Manc land it says red on the log book dont believe all you read on log books, what does the chassis no. say? dont know what you mean no colour in chassis no.

  5. As I said above the point I've been trying to make is that in my opinion the imports are just too much at the moment. If I was after a cheap Z I would wait till after xmas and pick a low mileage jdm s/st up in january for between 13-14k I think the Z market is saturated with imports so there will be some pretty deseperate dealers in the new year. Which will mean some real bargains for you buyers.
  6. Does it matter though??? No! You saw the car (so did I), maybe drove the car (I did), liked the spec and the price so handed over the price I thought reasonable, just the same way you did. Doesn't matter where it's made or anything, it's a car, it's on our drive ways and we're happy. I think it is worth paying the extra for a uk model or jdm s/stI put a deposit on a jap t myself I then did some research to find out how much it would cost for the rays,brembo's and viscous[spelling] lsd and electronic brake distrubution ect. I can assure you that it was well over 3k and that was with out all the electronic stuff ebd,esp ect. A few people above have these cars and are nt sure of the spec this is exactly the point Iam making if these jdm importers where honest they would post up the full specs of each model like bonsai cars do or used to and Iam sure a few of you would have made different choices if all the information was available when you where buying
  7. I agree with most of what your saying I didnt say that owners of import cars have been ripped off. I said if you had bought a base or T model you had been ripped off because they dont come with brembo's or stability control and have an inferior LSD when compared to the jdm:S and:st and uk:base and:gt Alot of the time people end up paying the same money or more for their inferior base and t models because they dont want to wait for a uk one. I would have bought a jdm s or st if mine had nt come up but as I said above I would nt have paid as much for it.

As I said above alot of the imports are the cheaper base or T models which in my opinion are'nt the real deal which is why mr nissan did nt make them available over here because they where deemed as not being sporty enough for a british market. There's nothing wrong with the s or st spec but even so they should be at least 2k cheaper than a uk one with same mieage and spec so I would expect to pay around 15k for a jdm st with less than 15k on the clock. I only express my opinion which is what I thought these forums where for I know some of my opinions may cause offence but hey thats life. And as I said before I do enjoy a bit of banter so if you think Iam wrong tell me why and you never know you might change my opinion. [highly unlikely though because Iam always right]

The car is clean with no rust has full service history up to 47000 which is when I got it and since then has been serviced every 6000 miles with mobil one.The black leather interior is unmarked apart from the centre console which has a few scratches on it. Totally definite Pmsl, 35 uk gt spec i have seen private for £17k so it is doable, and thats with 20k miles Bought my uk spec gt for 17k with 14k on the clock paid cash though The z market at the moment is slower than the buses in nottingham the same cars have been on autotrader for months now. NO one seems to be buying the imports I would definatley go for a uk spec. Most the jap one's for sale are'nt even real Z's i.e no brembo's ,esp or in some cases no decent lsd

Iam saying that the 350 is a poor mans sports car. Its not a ferrari is it? You're right it's not, but then it's not a Corsa either. Do you think of yourself as poor or doing OK for yourself though?? And does that make a £100k Ferrari F430 a poor man's sports car when there's the Ferrari 612 Sacglietti HGTC at £200k??? Yes you 've hit the nail right on the head I consider myself to be poor because:I have to work five days a week nearly every week of the year to pay my mortgage ect. and there's no way I could afford to pay for my daughter to go to a decent private school. The point Iam trying to make is that well off people with ferrari's lambo's ect. probobly look down at us in our nissans and call us chavs so I just cant understand this slighty snobbish attitude some of you seem to have. I have never been a big fan of mocking people less fortunate than myself and dont like this chav chavvette bussiness its not there fault they grew up on estates and if there not very intelligent there's no way out for them unless they sell class a's or there body.

My car has the clutch problem aswell I took it in this morning and they told me there reluctent to take the gearbox out at this stage and too come back in six weeks so they can have a proper look at it and spend a few days on it. They claim this is because the ratteling noise is nt loud enough yet so will be difficult to diagnose? As long as it gets fixed before the warrenty runs out I will be happy.

What does this have to do with the comments I made? How are they inaccurate? Why have they upset you so much? If you just want to blag, maybe you should save it for your mates in the pub. If you post in a public forum, expect some discussion - it's the whole point of the forum after all. In terms of knowing what I'm on about, I have a 350Z and a twin turbo VR4 which shares much of it's running gear with an EVO VI. I'm a member of the Lancer Register (EVO forum). The mild modding/tuning to the VR4 has all been done by me & myself, so I suspect I've got an inkling of knowledge -it's not just something I've read. It's not comprehensive, and I don't know it all - which is why I like to discuss things on these public forums!. So that's all I'll be saying in this thread -I'm not interested in a slanging match. Mods, appologies if I've upset anyone (let me know if I have) - I don't think I've said anything outrageous or provocative... I am not frothing at the mouth Iam just speaking my mind Iam sorry if my comments came across as being offensive/abrasive in text it's probobly not how I would have said it. From your first post I could see in which direction you where going stating obvious facts abouts evo's like your educating us all. You where also implying that my brothers evo 4 would be slower than a newer evo which would be true if they were both standard and the new evo was nt a fq260. But from my first post you can see that my bro's evo 4 has been modified and even running that boost with the mods he has would be comparable to a fq300. The reason I say you dont know what your on about is on your comments on the fq 400 it is common knowlage in the evo community that the fq 400 turbo is too big and laggy and that it's better to have a smaller turbo like fq340 and fq360. Iam not claiming my Z does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds my Z could nt beat my bro's evo to sixty which is nowhere near that,I doubt he even gave it a clutch breaking 7k launch. Iam not upset with you or anyone on this forum I enjoy a bit of banter and Iam sorry if I come across that way in text. Lomoto I did'nt mean to cause offence It just seemed a funny thing to say at the time. I still think most of us are chavs because we cant afford real sports cars

Iam sorry but the evo rally car is completly different from the road car about a few hundred thousand pounds different and if you watched top gear you would have seen the fq 340 go round the track a fraction of a second slower than the fq 400 the only place a 2 litre car is fast with a big laggy turbo is the drag strip. If you had read my first thread properly you would have seen my bro was only running a bar and not the 1.6 bar needed to produce 380bhp and a sub 4 0-60. Its no good just repeating information you have read if you dont know what the **** your on about.

  22. Older model I mean - there've been five generations of EVO since the IV you were playing with. They've come a long way since then No I disagree the evo 4 is lighter than the newer evo's so if anything is faster than the newer models and on top of that they usaully have more performance mods because of there age. My bro's evo 4 will produce 380bhp at 1.6bar of boost using a smaller turbo than the fq 400[less lagg]it hits full boost at 3200 instead of 4k[fq400]so is faster than a standard fq400 when running full boost.

He he as said above theres nothing plod can do unless they catch you in the car and in the Z theres no chance of that Its simalar to the speed camara loop hole you have to admit guilt to be prosecuted. Thank you anyway I do appreciate your concern. When you say not on an open forum does that mean I cant post any of my kills. I thought people might of found it interesting/entertaining.
