  1. Hi all, This question is directed to the powers that be.... Are there any plans to launch an iPhone/ iPad app for this forum? I for one would find it really useful!
  2. I'll take it if it's still available?
  3. I always use Super unleaded. Only used unleaded when the car was really low on fuel and the petrol station didn't do Super! Thanks for the comments. I figured fuels have come a long way since several years back and can't see why they wouldn't have their own engine cleaning additives (e.g. v-power).
  4. Hi all, Just wondering if fuel additives are actually worthwhile using every now and again to clean the engine and help to improve on MPG? Has anyone/ does anyone use these and how have they faired? And no, i'm not highly concerned about mpg, but as Tesco's says, every little helps Cheers
  5. Abbey motorsport Did my P3 service, let me use their wifi for a few hours, friendly and know their stuff. I'll be taking the Z there for discs and pad fitting in a few weeks
  6. Well, I may as well add my 2 pence... 1. Min 4gb ram. If you're running Windows7, that alone will consume 1-1.5GB Ram 2. Personally, I'd stick with Intel over AMD. I haven't had an AMD laptop in several years but if memory serves me correctly, it used to overheat a lot! 3. Dell laptops - had 4 over the last 3 years from work. Good machines, but fan's get very hot if not left on a desk with ventilation. 4. If going for Intel, make sure you get a Sandy Bridge chip and not the older ones (hence you will find some laptops cheaper so be wary of this). Useful link which explains how to identify a Sandy Bridge http://forwardthinking.pcmag.com/chips/282413-do-you-have-a-sandy-bridge-chip-how-to-tell Nij
  7. I bought the aero wipers after reading a post on here...I've had them on the car for about 4 months now and they're pretty good. Let's see how they hold up through the winter. That'll be the real test
  8. Hi all, I'm looking to polish up my exhaust tips. When I bought the car they were covered in black soot. I've tried cleaning them whilst washing the car but no luck. Ideally, I'd like them to have a nice stainless steel type finish. Does anyone have any tips/pointers or recommend any products I could use? Cheers
  9. I'd just bought a set of EBC yellow stuff pads this morning and was searching the forum for recommended discs, though I may as well give this a punt...I'm in...lets see what happens.
  10. spotted parked up in Sainsbury's colliers wood last night (South West London). Was gleaming!
  11. Looks good Just ordered one off ebay
  12. From the looks of the related post there's not much that can be done. Has anyone managed to do something to reduce the noise?
  13. well the car was definately 100% hot after the 300 mile drive! but the noise was still there it hasn't made that noise before so its quite worrying.
  14. So I did a 300 mile trip yesterday and everything was fine. However now when I turn the car on (hot or cold start) there is a strange noise coming from the engine. If I press the clutch down it goes away, but as soon as the clutch comes back up so does the noise. This happens in neutral, and I can hear it in 1st and 2nd gear. Anyone experienced anything similar or have an idea of what this might be caused by? Thanks
  15. On my way to pick up my Zed today...finally! Just jumped on to the train at London Kings Cross and have to get to Newcastle. This is going to feel like the longest 3 hours of my life! On the plus side, I have a nice 300 mile drive back home
  16. Would this fit in a 2007 313 boot? I've seen this shape mat and another shaped mat too
  17. is this yours ChrisS? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 97.c0.m619
  18. Is there anything wrong with buying the standard brembo brake pads? Is that what is fitted OEM? http://www.apbrakediscs.co.uk/front-brembo-brake-pads-nissan-350-z-z33-3-5-04-06-on.html
  19. thanks all, Alex in particular. The conversation we had earlier was definately helpful. think i'm going to go for the Zed, aim to get at leask £1k off the asking price. I'll try a few things with the gearbox and if they dont resolve the issue ill get it replaced. At least the cost won't hit me all at once
  20. is that possible huskey or am i clutching at straws?
