  2. Im sorry I still cant see it hitting the road, not after all the fuss that was kicked up internally. And if it does it wont cost 36k

  4. Honestly, No release by Nissan as yet. Ill be in the que (for an upgrade at least) but honestly doubt it. Last time I was a millbrook (couple of weeks ago) I was discussing this with Nissan and they were mentioning parts of the pack (insulation being one) POSSIBLY being available but his arse was still sore from the kicking he got for working on the project!
  5. I have press access to Nissan UK and as yet they have NOT posted any anouncement. Personally, and sadly, I dont tihnk it will happen. Updated to add that Nissan have not made ANY press release at al this month.
  6. I did mean the zed, as thats what the post is about. Its inept people like you who give IT people like us a bad reputation as know-all-help-no ones Sorry couldnt resist as you walked into that one! Welcome to the Forum by the way
  7. We tried that too! It didnt work the ESP still came back on and "caught" the back brakes to prevent the rear wheels from moving! We spent nearly an hour playing round (and video'd it too ) Fortunately it was a "donor" car. ;)
  8. Is yours a jap model? TCS despite being turned off will come on again. In the UK cars at least.
  9. Unfortunatly due the ESP,VDC,EBD kicks back in as soon as it realises the front wheels arent moving. Trust me we had the chance to do this recently and no amount of effort will make it work. Its due to the ESP function on the car which not all american or jap cars have. If you dont believe me try it. Standing burnouts are impossible in a uk car. standaing starts doughtnuts all possible standing burnouts sadly no.
  10. sadly practically impossible in a uk zed
  11. Its a GSM re radiation arial. Quite common on third party handsfree kits. They slap a tax disc holder on with a rerad built in.
  12. it needs to be "useable" but im going to alter it to increase airflow. As for the light im merely looking for the casing not the light internals. so small crack or mark would be ok.
  13. Have you rang and asked the price for a micra key?? I think yuol find its the same 100 quid is cheap mate. VW charge 190 just for the fob!
  14. I am more looking for stuff going in the bin rather than stuff worthy of selling.
  15. One used or broken headlight. I dont need the hids I just need the casing. One standard bumper (GM Grey) If your planning on binning either of these please give me a shout.

The "little blond peice" is Sabine, and she is not the only 'Ring Taxi driver, as there are 3 cars, However the taxi is usually booked 1 yr in advance. There are cancellations though, so go to the office and put your name down first thing in the morning, Oh and 8.12 is about what she laps in the M5 4 up.................and SIDEWAYS! 9mins isnt that hard afterall.

My worry steve was not that the brakes would cook ( I havew never cooked them out there despite my efforts) It was more other mechanical bits, Havein seen a suspension failure at speed out there I can tell you its not pretty. Plus it calms the beginner driver down from the afore mentioned "senna effect" Keeps the head clear and avoids the red mist! I know its a personal thing but for most beginners its what I advise. Also I stongly advise going out as a passenger in an experienced persons car first. After all the ring is one of the few places where most people can and will give you pax laps.

    The Ring

For beginners even 2 can be lethal as they will bend something at speed on lap one and it will break on lap 2, resulting in nasty accy. I say do one then go off down the road for a cool off lap, come back wait 15 then go out again, I find this stops the "Senna effect"

No the JDM suspension was not "fast" enough to respond to our roads. I dont have to hand whether or not it was softer (I doubt it was as their roads are much much smoother) thus allowing "slower"suspension to be used. It is true that post 04 cars have the euro spec setup.

    The Ring

Apparently not!! I was told (and I dont have em to say) that they were too hard for european roads, let alone the ring. I know guys in NTE Bonn and I was discussing their choices and both KW and Bilstein (lots of money) were two favourites. The test mule I was in was actually runing Bilstein. It is widely regarded that the jap manuacturers tune their shocks to jap roads (completely different to ours) This is why the original JDM spec car didnt suit our roads. They spent 6 months tuning the car for europe. I was told on Friday that the backend of he car was the biggest problem

The ring is VERY rough! I aggree the zed has its limitations suspension wise but honestly for the ring (and not cessarily for other race tracks) its about 80%right
  22. Yeah its probab toeing out a little too.
