ok after hours of head scratching a young man called Craig "The Legend" Bissett came to the rescue (and his missus ), you all know him as Cragus he travelled an hour to reach me by 12 midnight and we set to work problem solving, i was just about to dismatle the window housing when we came back indoors to do a web search and see what you guys were advising. i also did a google search and trawled through some posts when randomly some guys mentions the door connectors. now my painter had the doors off, like he has time and time again but we both though it would be worth a check. so after some time detaching the freshly painted doors and using my dogs bed to lay them down in the pitch black as its after 1oclock now we discovered my painted had managed to get overspray on the harness connector pins. so gentley we cleaned them up and got the doors back on and PRESTO !!!!!! alls good in the world again I cant thank Craig enough for making the journey as i would never had been able to acheive this on my own, and i can now grab 3 hours sleep before i set of to liverpool in the morning safe in the fact that the missus wont kill me for ruining our break away thanks for all you input guys, it all helped

ok guys, if its a bad earth i have fine ill sort that later, but in the mean time i need to get the window back up so i can use the car is it possible to give power to the harness in order to operate the window motor ? i have a spare battery i use for my light projects so i could run a wire from that to whatever point i need to to get this window up ?

i lloked through them all with a torch and them seems ok, not sure which is the window or door switches though mirror controls only work on the drivers side and there is a beep from inside the cabin when operating them which is weird ??? must be an earth but where i dont know

im FOOOKED,,,,,,i need the windows and door locks to work by 6am tomorrow or the holidays cancelled !!!!! were can a bad earth be ???? that would be causeing just the switches to be effected ?

yeah currently having to hold it myself in the pitch black,,,,,,, no window operations on both doors (passenger will go down from passenger side switch but not back up ) no locking on the drivers doors

not yet, just going to try and find the fuse box to have a look, dismantled the drivers door switches and theres no bad pins think the mirror switches are working , pretty sure they werent earlier ???WTF Paul the frustrated ...

another, drivers door isnt locking when pressing the keyfob...... dont think a window reset will work as i dont have power to move the glass ??

just noticed another few gremlins, when the door is open i get an audible beeping ? i think it was there before but definetly sounds different/louder but if you push in the rear window heater button (left hand one of the 3 dials) it goes off ??? all lights on the dash and centre console are working as normal

i will pop the door card off and try the reset procedure,,,anyone got a link to it ?

lol, in english please....where abouts is that fuse box, at the battery of in the drivers footwell ?

just went to try the passenger side switch and it went down but when i tried to put it up ...nothing...my missus is giving me the evils as were leaving for the isle of man tomorrow and could really be doing with everything working ....

Hi folks, i have got my car back from the body shop and on my way home i noticed that none of my switches on the drivers door are working, mirrors, windows etc does anyone know what fuse i should be looking for to check ? i have removed the switch panel and the harness are all in place thanks for any help Paul

cheers for all the "positive" comments guys lol as for the K-sports, i got a great deal on them and wasnt planning of changing the brakes at all, so in my eyes im sure they will have more stopping power than the original brembos, also im under the impression they are of the same design as AP's which are a very good brake clarkie.....yeah not to sure on the wing myself yet, until it arrives i have no clue if it will fit or not
