I'm sure I've been there at 0830 and Tom was already there
+1 - but not sure about his brother who does the paintwork
My main reason for asking chaps. Sure in the past Tom has been reluctant to give out paint quotes and always asks people to see his brother, who usually isnt there as early or as much at the weekend. I think I'll get Amanda to pop in and ask when he'll be about. I'd have thought if Tom sees the van then he can give enough info to his brother to give a quote.

Chaps,
Does anyone know what time Tom's brother and the guys are usually at the unit in the morning? Amanda is going to take the bus to get a quote for colour coding and is planning on doing it on the way to work, or way home from work if not. Just wondering if she actually get any job in the morning or if they are usually in a bit later. Their website says 8:30am they are open and I seem to remember they are usually there pretty early but like to head off on time on an evening.
Cheers

Hope you are keeping a check of the Evo T suface Chris, thats what you're employed for
Anyone know a good campsite in the area(s) around Bala? Seems to be half way between Moreton and C-y-B for a bit of MTB fun

Well the van is now officially a "motor caravan". We can now enjoy proper speeds again (officially) and cheaper insurance. Also had her MOT'd yesterday. The tester almost didn't give her back, apparently he liked her rather a lot! Passed with flying colours, no advisories or anything. Only remark on the certificate is that the emissions are too low to register
I've also ordered the Sportline front lip and will be getting her into TGM Sport for colour coding soon

If I won the lottery, I'd be out to buy back my 370z and would TT it without a doubt

Buy a 370z Black Edition - job done

Good job Chris.
Andy at CS did my clutch a few years ago and I was amazed that he (with a little assitance from Mitz) lifted the gearbox out by hand, but he must literally be 100% muscle!

Seem to remember illuminated sill guards were included in Ultimate spec, but it was a while ago now.
-
As the others have said, foam mitt on, microfibre off. Job done.
GM can be shiney, just needs a good polish and wax...
-
Ultimate added satnav, different interior colour, limited edition yellow paint (opt) and illuminated sill guards from what I remember. Sure it was all posted here when it was announced
BTW its a MY2009 model so doesnt have connect premium, this model pre-dated it.

Get a bus like us

Good going! Mr AK and myself did the Morzine black on trail bikes last summer (me 130mm and him 160mm I think). Its certainly doable on lesser bikes but slows you down quite a lot. Although I had one guy in pyjamas tell me to stop catching him up

It's all that macho BS Chris, you know, like that which was amply demonstrated to us in the Alps!
Yup, all those pyjama party folk being over taken by us on our XC stylee kit

That'll teach ya to try and jump
Were some young uns gunning you on?
no we are all old boys that ride together, jumping off of a tree stump over a pump jump. 2nd time....front wheel into back of pump jump...over the bar....bang broken thumb......
Girls on bikes are cool. nice style,
Was that over Pealake way? I've seen a few nasty little kickers over there. I'll get Amanda to show you how its done next time
-
Noice. Not enough ladies on bikes IMO! Not sure how making the stem sorter made it less twitchy though? Sure you were just getting more used to the bike?
Agree on both points Maybe shorter stem but wider bar at the same time, that would do the trick.

Great little vid. Hoping to go see Andy@DirtSchool in September when we visit Scotland. He's knows his stuff and a great teacher even if he is a bit nutts (in the nicest way of course!).

They don't understand it may work, but it won't be popular. They are overlooking the fact that people enjoy driving.
Those that enjoy driving are definitely in the minority these days. I'm all for it on motorways and other boring roads just so long as fast A and B roads are left alone for us to enjoy

Very nice, much better than the Japspeed

Think the gloss work needs redoing in the pic above, unless the wood work is actually yellow

Well Amanda couldnt make it today, so I gave them a call. Going to try and get it in on Friday or Saturday for a quote, but Will gave me a ball park over the phone and it was what I was expecting. Might go up a bit when he see's it in the flesh I think Was trying to get it in sooner rather than later to hopefully have it finished by the end of the month but I think that's being a bit optimistic now.
