  4. I,m near Alfreton , was planning on going down early to reach JAE about 9.30am, so set off about 8am any good for you? 8.00am does that exist on a Sunday??? Yeah sure mate, which way you going? going to get on A1 at Newark, or down M1 to wherever ..meet at Tesco car park Alfreton...do you know where that is? Trouble is I live in Bolsover, so wouldnt really go past Alfreton. If your going to Newark are you going along A617? Once you actually get to Newark there is a Little Chef on the roundabout for A17/A1. I think thats right, been a while since been down that area of country. But could meet their maybe?

  8. I was just thinking of that, and started reading through the 20 pages about the meet. Certainly would like to go, any spaces left.. if so what days and how much?
  9. yeah Sarnie try soapy water, should imagine it would be easier to see... certainly is contagious, I have placed quite a big order with autopia, getting different waxes, polish, clay etc. Hopefully should be here by the weekend... my neighbours already think Im mad with the amount of times I clean my car.

  15. Hi Ming Where is SY are you from? In respect to the spoiler, I quite like the Nismo one. Sarnie has one for sale on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350Z-Nismo ... dZViewItem

  17. Jackal As above - a bit expensive.. your talking pretty much new car money.. Your probably aware that they made slight changes to the 06 version, improved interior, LED rear lights, Rays alloys as standard (which were a £1000 upgrade B4) uprated to 300bhp etc etc. Also obviously it will be a new car so no scratches, stone chips, (at least for first few day ) and you will know the history of the car... In addition you will get to choose the colour... maybe go for a decent colour instead The downside is the waiting time for a new one.
  18. Just been to Halfords in Chesterfield and they didnt have any clay bar kits in stock... there seems to be a lack of decent shops for car detailing in this area. Anyone know of any?
  19. :bye: at Michael Bluff, were you on the MR2ROC mate? as for cleaning and protecting the top on the 350z, well you need only two products: Andy Yeah I did register about 3years ago, but didnt use it that much.
  20. Bought some Megs detailing clay yesterday My only concerning is all the talk about 'marring' the paint I'm no expert and don't want to wreck my car How often should you clay the car? I have never clayed my car. Dont intend doing it regulary... maybe twice a year. From what I have read just make sure that the paint is well lubed up
  21. Quite a good clay guide here: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/showthread.php?t=4829
  22. I used Turtle Wax soft top cleaner and conditioner on my MR2 Roadster. Seemed ok. Its pretty expensive at around £16 from Halfords, but only bought it when they had Turtle Wax products buy one get one free... believe that they have got this offer on at the moment... I also recall another soft top cleaner by Auto glym. Never tried it though. THe MR2 owners manual said to use hand soap on the soft top. But i never tried this. Most of the time it was just clean water and a sponge, with the occasional use of the Turtle Wax product.
