I would have a good check around the bodywork near the rear lense for repaired accident damage as I had the same problem after I had a respray - the garage had covered the rear lense with paint lacquer overspray - bastards. It might buff-up nicely but i doubt it as it is corrosive to plastic -'av a word with 'em!!!

...that includes Amsoil oil as well - that can affect warranty as well. I was told to change the oil after warranty runs out if you wanted to do it by the book. G

...Sounds like a short circuit to me - after hoovering under the seats the other day and seeing the amount of wires hanging loose under the seats this would not surprise me!!! But then electrical wires and me stop at changing fuses in a plug!!!

How muc money you got and how much do you care for your car??!! I bought Amsoil 5w30 because it is good stuff but expensive if you buy from wrong place. Others swear on Motul 5w30 as well. Halfrauds do castrol semi-synthetic which others also swear by. Speak to www.opieoils.co.uk they do some great offers and there may be a club discount in place. G

Ive been quoted £320 and £225 from my two nearest Nissan stealers. Take £40-50 off for supplying your own oil and filter (filter - why not! you can get one for 4.99 and you can gaurantee that it will be fitted)! G

Top of the list for me would be quality of paintwork - swirl marks and chips etc. I effing hate swirl marks on any car - the less there are is a good measure of whther the owner knows how to look after and care for his/her car. Following on from this are the obvious - stone chips on bonnet/front spoiler - although this could be considered normal for Z as we know. Other obvious pointers - rev engine and have someone looking at exhaust to see if blue smoke is coming out as it might be burning more oil than petrol! All the niggly warranty issues can be found in FAQ section - which should not worry you as they can be sorted out under warranty. Hope this helps-im sure someone will come along with other advice G

Dont know about 'on-line' but if you live in the M3-M4 corridor a place called 'Basingstoke Tyres' apparently do good prices - someone I know does a round trip from Cambridge each time he needs new boots so it might be worth checking out. They have a general Web-site. G

Are you sure Dash-you saying the pick-up is on the pads or the shoe but the disc is clean? What is the shoe?? cheers

I need to change the discs though as I have picked up some residue on them or something which makes the steering wheel vibrate when braking.
