  1. Awesome! How much for the wheels/tires?
  2. Would love to, I can tell you with no shadow of doubt that the nightclub called "Cuckoo" on Swallow street W1 really is a good place to go "seeking" im there
  3. ...sorry to ask so late in the day but would fitting this invalidate warranty???
  4. ....lucky 'fu*ker' Any chance of sourcing me a date??!!
  5. Oooppss...... guess you just missed the brand new set that went on eBay this week for $750! That was from a US dealer so would have shipping on top....... look in the ebay section if you want to see it ..... was a few days back Yeah that is the guy I was chatting about earlier- Brinster. They generally go for $1500-$1600on his auctions. One of the guys from the OC got a quote from him to supply including shipping for around $2300. I am really interested in getting quotes for Volk as Nismo are tooplain for my tastes!
  6. ...Naturally the price has to come in under the cheapest UK prices-otherwise whats the point!!?? I think the cheapest UK price I have seen is on eBay for £1895 (19"), so we should be looking for savings below this price - which I think is doubtful. However, there have been talks held on the OC with another guy called Brinster on eBay, and I know he can supply for $2300 including shipping. I am also waiting on pricing for Volk as well. G
  7. Hi all, Testing the water on this. You may recall the post I submitted in "Wanted" regarding Nismo wheels, well things have moved on and I entered into a discussion with Buds regarding setting up a group buy on the whees, and perhaps even bringing together the two group buys to make more savings - Im unsure how this is going to work at the moment, so lets keep it nice and simple for the time being. Here is what MiamiGT can get: Nismo Wheels costs: LM GT4s only come in 18s, silver and bronze available. 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 Price is $575 for each. Nismo 18" $550 for each 18x8.5 and 18x9.5, silver only Nismo 19" $670 for each 19x8.5 & 19x9.5, silver only Additional costs will be shipping - I would be disappointed if we could not get shipping for about $500 a set of wheels - perhaps less if shipping in bulk - I have asked MiamiGT for shipping costs. Please include VAT on top of your calculations as well. What do you think?? Oh-by the way, as you dont know me from Adam, i think it would be prudent if someone known and trusted was nominated to deal with the money transfer side of things, but this is far off, for now lets just see how viable this is. Graham
  8. Jeez.....some people are unbelievable - you need to mke sure that the polo idiot does not leave you with an un-wanted present on the bumper - good luck on the stake-out!!
  9. Which is exactly my position. Watchdog?! ....perhaps it's time for me to call Consumer Direct next week......
  10. first time anyone's mentioned that! I moved it over from the OC's site - perhaps it's time to change it......???!!!
  11. No sorry I'm still waiting for pricing-I will chase up next week.
  12. Its good that you are asking these questions as it helps out other would be owners - I suspect that most of the 'Zed for Sale' posts in the Cars for Sale section on these site'S' are from owners who wished they had asked the same questions!! Its one thing to buy the car or get finance for one (which is stupidly easy), it's another thing to be able to pay for running costs and maintainance - once you start skimping on costs to keep the car going it starts to show.
  13. I'm not sure what you mean by 'cloudy', but you can spot the corrosion easily as it appears bubbly-mine has rust spots on them as well.
  14. Just spoken to Nissan customer services - prognosis not good! Without speaking to Nissan's warranty department for a definite answer, CS was telling me that if the garage was telling me that kerbed corrosion damaged wheels are not being repaired then it is likely that they have had past experience of the warranty department refusing to replace kerbed wheels. Knowing that my garage is already dealing with 3 claims for corroded wheels then I suspect that what they are telling me is correct. I will just have to make do with the rear near-side being replaced! G
  15. ....anyone got Nissan's customer service number?
  16. Yeah that was me I think. The garage sends the pics off to Nissan, Nissan authorise and send another refurbed wheel out from someone els who has had the same problem (8 week lead time). My garage is saying that as someone else will ultimately be getting my wheels as refurbs Nissan can not be expected to repair kerb damage as well as corrosion.
  17. I had considered it but looking for a precedent first of all to hit Nissan CS with first. I am also concerned that as one of the wheels is badly kerb damaged (flattened the lip considerably), even if it was repaired there will still be a flat spot showing - also if I am doing that then I might as well get the whole wheel stripped and re-coated no!? G
  18. Hi, As you know, Nissan are exchanging corrosion damaged Rays, however I am being told by dealer that they will not replace kerb damaged wheels! I have no reason to doubt the dealer (Marshalls) as they are good, but has anyone had dealings with Nissan UK customer services, who did do a replacement on corrosion damaged AND kerbed rays so that I can prove that there is a precedent, or maybe you know of a someone or a dealer that has had them replaced with kerb damage? Regards G
  19. ...saddest thing i've seen for a long time and i'm talking from experience - one second I was going around a roundabout in the wet - the next second im up the kerb backwards and off the road - a mud mound saved me from a drainage ditch - there, but for the grace of God go I!!!!
  20. But do these include the Nismo kit or 19" wheels? Don't forget this is a brand new car with full Nismo kit. I really can't understand why people are so against the price of this, sure it's a bit pricy but perhaps by no more than 3 - 5k surely? worst bait for a wind up, ever! Its simple - 36k is not the value of that car, 24k is - even with that list of specs. Also it is not the revised engine. So what if it has Tiptronic etc, as mentioned, its an import and worth less as a result. The nismo kit and wheels are only worth about 2k as an option fit. Insurance WILL be higher for it too, no warranty (manufacturer) and what happens when the tiptronic fails? I like the "when" as opposed to "if" re tiptronic failure Is this likely to happen?
  21. ah-good old TW White - they specialise in importing MX5's so you can see the connection there and yes they are muppets - I originally (about 5 years ago), was going to purchase an imported MX5 from them (for my sins) but pulled out at the last minute as I thought the car overpriced at the time, plus I was not happy with the fact that the speedo had not been converted over to MPH. Anyway, I had put down a £500 deposit as part of a credit agreement for the car, and they refused to give the deposit back until I quoted a paragraph from the Credit Agreement Act that had been dug up from the advisors at the Consumer Direct helpline!
  22. Dealers try that trick of saying they wont replace due to kerbing but that is a brush-off. You are entitled to replacements regardless of kerbing and I know people on the other site have had their's replaced with kerbing. Fight your corner - corrosion is not a sympton of kerbing. G
