  1. cheers for that guys although nissan in mill hill have just quoted me £270 for the service and thats afer I called watford who wanted £370. Dont think there are any other dealerships round me in london where i can get it done for cheaper unless anyone knows otherwise?
  2. going to supply my own oil although it does not seem to make my P2 service cheaper overall Ive been recommended either motul or sikolene by Opie Oils for around £50 for 5 litres. Will this be all that I need and is this much better than the standard stuff that Nissan will use?
  3. and you guys should have seen the install on his old saxo looking good mate!
  4. it is basically rubbing alchohol. Stand for iso propyl acetate or something close to that
  5. Basically cut a long story short someone reversed into my car and caused a lot of scuff marks on the 3m protection film that I had fited. I originally thought I would need to replace the film but Tom offered some expert advice using IPA believe it or not to sort out the scuff marks and it did! Would highly recommend paintshield, not only for the product that you are buying (that is unbelievable) but the service you get thanks again Tom!
  6. ok so i called tom at paintshield today and he was very helpful as usual. Suggested using some IPA to try and get rid of the scuff marks and guess what it seems to have done so! gonna give the car a good clean tomorrow so I can have a good look to see if any damage is left. think there is a little tear but it is pretty minimal. Wish me luck and ill let you know how i get on and a big thanks to Tom at Paintshield as always!
  7. maybe but i would have to pay someone to remove the film which is quite a job apparently so there is the cost of that as well. A respray will never be quite the same as the original though
  8. funny you should say that. First thing that i attempted to find out was what his position is (not senior to me!)but last thing i want to do is cause havoc at my place of work. He seemed very apologetic at the time and I said that he was lucky that the damage was only on the film. i still think he will have a heart attack when he realises how much it will cost to fix. Hes lucky in a way though, if i didnt have the film tha cost to respray would be a lot more. Just hope this is sorted out the way it should be with minimal fuss for everyones sake!
  9. thing is it was in my work car park so i couldnt have done anything. It had been anywhere else chances are I would have gone crazy because the way the accident happened was unbelieable and reckless. I just hope the film can be removed but i think the guy is going to have a heart attack when I tell him that to remove it and fit a new one is like £400!!! he just better not kick up a fuss then!
  10. no body damage as far as i can tell thank god and he did actually hit me pretty hard! called paintshield already. they said something about having to steam it off although the guy said he had never done it before which didnt fill me with too much confidence!
  11. long story but basically someone reversed into my car at high speed with me in it at work! due to the fact I was at work I tried to stay as calm as I could but it did help that the guy that did it was apologetic. I have the paintshield protection on my car and i think it saved the paint work but there are stractches on the film. Looks like im going get him to pay to have it removed and then a new one applied. what a wanted to ask was will removing the film damage the paintwork at all. Will be taking the car back to autoasylum who did the original fitment
  12. saw that as well mate. That dealership is local to me as well and Ive got a Kuro black 350z as well
  13. no reserve! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1
  14. havent had a chance to test it yet so is it just best to fill up the water reservoir then?
  15. im assuming the place to refill is the name as the wiper fluid as these seem to be working fine ie hasnt run out of water
  16. could it be a simple matter that they have simply run out of water then??
  17. washer jets that clean the headlights have stopped working. Im assuming that this will be covered under warranty. Is it a big job to replace if need be?
  18. drove passed in my Kuro anyone off here?
  19. sorry guys i have heard a few things about this but don t know anything about it. Is it like an induction kit pros/cons price/pics is it worth it on a standard z? cheers
  20. was the sales man a morrocon looking guy, young, quite short and a shaved head. If it was a heard exactly the same thing and thought what a load of bollox. he also said that there was a paint problem with all black 350z and a common problem is literally golf ball sized flakes of paint coming off. no other dealer had heard of this. I wreckon, that there were no black ones within their network and they just wanted to shift another one on heir forecourt. I dont trust that guy, he is very nice when he thinks he may get a sale, but the moment the buyer shows a little doubt he turns in to a bit of a ****. Go down to the nissan dealership in mill hill as it is not too far from watford. Top guys down there

  22. in west hampstead where i live opposite the dam police station about 100 m from my flat! Have used some meguairs scratch x and seems to be ok ish now
  23. so pi**ed off not that bad but bad enough to **** me right off! its not down to the primer and the bodyshop has said it wont need a respray. What options are there for respray. I want something that will permanently fix it as opposed to just cover it up. Is Meguairs scratch x something i can consider or is it best just to give it to the bodyshop? Cheers
