  1. Got a trade in price for my 2005 GT coupe a few days ago. Car has done 40 000 miles (motorway miles) but is in as new condition.. Took it in to Lotus to see how much I could get part exchange for a 2nd hand exige S..... 16K walked out very angry!..think I have to try selling private, anyone know what I should be expecting.. Would have thought at least 18K!
  2. with rising petrol prices I just cant see myself keeping the z for more than 6 months so time to think about other cars. Want to buy a "toy" and a cheap run around like a smart car Top of the list is a lotus exige s...what does everything think of this car..Budget of up to 30K. Oh and it can also do 33 mpg on the combined cycle!
  3. Can get a set + painting for £55 after the conversion Just need to specify the paint code. Dont think the yanks refer to the colour "Kuro black". Anyone know what I should be specifying?
  4. lol! car is only 2.5 years old with 33000 miles on the clock and no previous problems and believe me the car has been looked after!
  5. bloody hell , now my airbag light is flashing at me, what the hell is going on. My whole dashboard looks like a christmas tree!
  6. feel a little more calm after the last two response...and yes I did suddenly get my dashboard light up like a christmas tree with my traction control systems suddenly not working
  7. will wear and tear really be the issue. The car is only 2.5 years old with 33 000 miles on this has mainly be motorway driving. My previous modded saxo ended up doing 160 000 miles and i had no problems of this sory!
  8. called them and getting usual response from them all. "bring the car in and we will have a look" Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem (as I think they have) and what happened with regards to warranty
  9. as above as I have a feeling this is where the currently problem with my z lies
  10. Can this be rectified under warranty??
  11. cheers for the thoughts guys. I did actually think it may be an abs sensor. Am I going to make the problem any worse if i carry on driving as my service is not for another 2 weeks and i do around 60 miles a day
  12. Ok so from an intermittant "on/off" My traction control switch is on constant off and the warning light that indicates loss of traction is constantly on. handbrake warning light is also on Previously these lights would come on under heavy breaking and acceleration and then turn off when i restarted the car. I originally thought it was an electrical glitch. But the traction control is actually off now. Got a service in 2 weeks anyway and the car is under warrantly so hopefully nissan will sort out Any idea of what the problem could be?
  13. many thanks. looking for a quick response and is too dark to check the car now Cheers
  14. same size wheels, havent changed anything bar the tyres to toyos which was about 6 months ago. This problem has only started this week. Strange that it only happens on hard acceleration and braking though.if I stop and turn engine off and then turn back on the warning lights turn off
  15. accosionally upon heavy acceleration or baking my hand brake warning light comes on and every now and again the traction control "off" light comes on as well as "loss of traction" light if you know the one im talking about Is this just a little electrical fault that i need the dealer to rectify (under warranty) or can i sort out myself. Does is sound like something serious or just a little gitch? Cheers
  16. for £510 fitted etc...Was well impressed with the price and hopefully I should be able to go round abouts without killing myself! Will give an update as soon as I get them fitted but ultimately choose them over the Flaken 452's as they were only £50 more and generally even though the Falkens are good, the fealing that i have got from people is that the Toyo's are better
  17. ill have these off you mate if this falls through. pm me and let me know Cheeers

    new tyres

Alright guys just a quick one...Looking to change all four tyres but dont want to spend more than £600 at the very very most Ive had Michelin pilot sports which i have found very good but expensive so I am looking for a cheaper alternative such as Falkens or Pirellies which I have heard good things about Any one know how much to expect for these or any other brans you can think of and the best place to get them from many thanks Bru
  20. how about sticking to the standard dimensions and going for a set of Falkens as ive heard they are pretty good tryes, cheap and also have more of a curved edge so give the appearance that they are of a lower profile even though they are not
  21. Have got the rays alloys and have always though the standard tyre dimensions were always a little too "thick". Would ut be a bad idea when replacing tyres to go for a tyre with a lower profile. If it will not affect drivability can anyone suggest what dimensions to go for? Cheers
  22. fitted it myself with my poor 15 year old brother holding the torch until 10 pm as it took a lot longer than expected. All you would need in addition to "standard" tools would be the security tools which you can by from halfrauds. I wouldnt describe it as an easy job as it is v fiddly in some places but then again i did do it with very poor light. Definately worth doing though thats for sure!
