  1. wow what a day!! You all missed out! :teeth:

Massive thank you to Alex for all the help he gave before the event with spares and actually on the track. I was actually terrified and terrible at first, locking up going into corners and losing the back end. Within a few laps the with the site stig he had me actually driving without any skidding or tailspin. Towards the end of the day the track dried up and I actually got very comfortable and managed to explore some of the cars potential.

Also thanks to chris(greekman) and Alex for entertaining Nicole(and me) with some wild driving while she was in it.

Awesome day and can't wait for the next one!

    Cheers guys

+1 to all of the above, and I'm sorry I had to leave just as the track was drying up this afternoon. Many thanks to Alex for the passenger laps - what an experience, and that was him taking it easy! I took some pics.....

  2. Ok folks...need to know about food requirements...can probably do BBQ for £3 a head...it won't be as fancy as the last one will basically be burgers and salads and I can't get there before lunchtime so you won't get fed until about 2pm

Any special needs foodwise and are you happy to cough up £3?

Still hoping to manage along, and no problems with the £3 BBQ.

  3. Steve - do you know what type/size of brushes are required. I would rather get them before I start stripping the motor.

Sorry mate I don't know the brush sizes, I never needed to go that far.

Unfortunately to get to the brushes you still need to strip the motor which involves a bit of soldering and unsoldering wires (2 or 3) but looks easy from when I looked.

    Cheers

    Steve

Thanks, Steve. I think I may have a go at it anyway in a couple of weeks time when my mate gets back from holiday - he's more confident than I am at these things!

    Cheers

  4. The driver's side window motor has completely given up the ghost and a new one is required.

Nissan want to charge me an absolute fortune for a new one and was wondering if anyone knew of any reputable spares firms around the Birmingham area or where I might pick up a cheaper new one?

    Cheers.

Join the queue! :) I'm waiting for Alex or Lee to get more in stock at the moment.

I hadn't considered the US route, but at that price for a new one? Mmmmm.....

  5. Have you tried servicing your current one ?

Yes - did that when I replaced the passenger side one, but I think the commutator or brushes must be gone this time. It definitely needs a replacement this time.

  7. An elderly couple, who were both widowed, had been going out with each other for a long time. Urged on by their friends, they decided it was finally time to get married. Before the wedding, they went out to dinner and had a long conversation regarding how their marriage might work. They discussed finances, living arrangements and so on. Eventually, the old gentleman decided it was time to broach the subject of their physical relationship.

'How do you feel about sex?' he asked, rather tentatively.

'I would like it infrequently' she replied.

The old gentleman sat quietly for a few moments, adjusted his glasses, leaned over towards her and whispered -

'Is that one word or two?'
