Does this good advice also apply to aftermarket alloys? I'm wondering about whether to declare my 19" Nismos.
Remember though that these were an official accessory though. Make sure the insurance company know that.
Good thinking - I'll get on to that soon.
Cheers, Stew.

From memory, its a 3M product and it's all good. Mine have been on the car for four years now and still look good as new.
-
Is tarmac still selling these? Couldn't see any on his listings.
-
Looks good.
What's the reception like with it?
-
What do people think of this car?
Looks to be in very good condition, guess only bad side would be is that it is imported!
Make him an offer of £6k?
Don't be put off by the fact that it is an import. All Zs are built in the same factory in Japan. Just check what extras you are getting as the JDM specs are different from the UK ones.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but...
My disks and pads have been on the car for a long time now, but recently have developed a distinct judder, pretty much as described by the original poster on this thread. I can't see any obvious flaws or excessive wear on the front of the disks but have not been able to check the rear faces.
I have a set of replacement pads ready to go on, but the ones on the car don't seem to be too far gone at this stage. Is it worth trying the bed-in procedure with the existing pads or is the general opinion that it would be better to instal the new pads first?

I am about to store my old wheels and tyres in the garage for the summer, with a view to using them as a winter set. I am assuming that it is wise to store them at reduced pressure, but can anyone advise what pressure is recommended for long term storage?
P.S. I know - I'll have to update my profile photo soon.

Where did you meet? Struggling to recognise where these photos were taken.
On a backroad on the outskirts of a blue blue village lol
OK - got you now!
-
Why bother? Just screw the plate to the bumper direct. Looks fine.

Lookin' very good Craig. You've made a nice job of it.

take out your spare wheel and the boot mat.
put one wheel under the strut bar
put one behind the passenger seat and then get the pass seat as far back as possible
put one on the passenger seat
put one over the strut bar
that should do it.
if you find it hard to get the one behind the passenger seat you can st them side by side on the passenger seat. I got my 295's +265's in the zed so it is definately possible with normal sizes. just watch you dont scuff your door handle like i did
Cheers, Husky.
Good to know it can be done.

I know this was covered years ago, but a search has failed to locate the thread.
How easy is it to fit four wheels (17") with tyres inside a Z?

Cheapskate! Also look out for the recession busting cubby hole mod
That doesn't make you a cheapskate. I've had that mod for a few years now and I think it enhances the cockpit quite nicely.
Nice pics, by the way - the car looks really good.
-
Looks really good, Neil.

Yea, soon as they're made, I'll email you. This is until I get near the bottom of the list, then I might need payment first, to ensure they're actually needed.
Craig, they're not too bad to fit. I'm going to revamp the guide I've started with more pictures. I comes down to splicing 3 wires, cutting 2 to make 4 ends, then connecting those ends up.
Where do you place the actual circuit board?

I'm very interested in this solution too.

not sure about these days but campbell and kennedy in Clydebank used to do this
I checked their website and it appears they mostly do satellite TV installations these days. Thanks for the suggestion, though - I might phone them and see if they can put me on to someone.
* Infiniti Centre Glasgow Meet *

Thanks again for organising yesterday, Jay.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and the Infiniti range was a revelation. I knew they were good but hadn't realised just how high quality the fit and finish was, especially the interiors.
