  1. Are you still having to pay those labour rates if there is work needed to be done???
  2. Was it only flat at the bottom Stevie?
  3. I paid about £900 for an extra two years on mine, on the basis that the parts alone for the clicking rear axle / gear box crunching problems are more than that. Got about 14 months left to run on it..... Oh, that's a Nissan one.

Am confused, you don't want to pay more than £100 for an exhaust, but looking to put a supercharger on the car??

Best to be sure I'm sure there's a joke in there about Cliff and a single exit......
  6. Unless you plan to transport your kids a lot, I would say no need to declare them - in the worst scenario, it would never stand up that you could be refused cover for non-declared kids Who knows what weightings companies apply to come up with their premiums; for a sports car, the theory could be that your kids might wish to take a spin in it without your knowledge On top of this, with Admiral, add a random other low-ish risk driver, and watch it lessen further.....

    ST170 or TDCi??

I can get Ford staff discount on a new one, but I don't see the point when you can buy 3 yr old ST170's or TDCi's for £6.5k!! I think it sounds like having to drive the both of them to see. Anyone else on here owned either before?? Cheers for your help so far guys.
  8. Alfa make the prettiest cars according to some. Rest of the car is still sh!te!! I think they're OK, plenty of family have had them, but they're far from refined. Plus you'll be lucky to find anything from them with leather or toys, a class below the VAG stuff IMO. Be just as well to get a Focus for £4k, as another idea....

Yup. Look pretty similar to these... http://www.performancealloys.com/detail ... =132222510
  10. Fair enough, I guess they guys are fitting custom rings in the doors for mine then! I'm going for some Hertz fronts this time. The Focals last time needed the tweeter taping up when the liquid had warmed up. After half an hour they really hurt my head!
  11. At 376 miles round trip, a hotel will be the cheaper option mate!! TBH, I would say service history. All diesels have much shorter service intervals (approx. 6,000 miles for oil changes for most) and a lack of oil in a diesel engine is likely to do it the most damage. By their nature, diesel engines take the miles better than petrol engines. Paying more for a low mileage car won't help if you're piling 50k a year on it anyway. Just bear that in mind when going VAG for your parts.....

    ST170 or TDCi??

Hi all, as many of you may know, the Elise has had it's fair share of bad luck, and despite it being an amazing drive I am going to put it up for sale in the near future. Discussions with the lady have resulted in her wanting something a bit more practical, and after my Focus I had a few years ago, I can't think of anything else that size that handles as well and is as easy to live with. Plus, I quite like the styling of it. Question is, should it be the ST170 or the TDCi (whatever that kicks out, am guessing about 140bhp)?? The one I had last time was a special edition 1.6 with leather and other gumph, and to be fair it was quite a rev happy little lump that was good fun. Anyone got experience of the ST170 or TDCi?
  14. Bicester is quite nice. Good links into London, Thames Valley and the Midlands from there too.
  15. Def that one, with the red 'i' I think. That was the one the missus drove, loads of power and still got between 45-60mpg she reckons. They did a sports kit which looked nice, or probably a petrol model, had large spoiler and nice alloys. Sorry, but what's the point in the bling on a Passat???

That looks lovely - the wheels really suit it.
  17. Not sure a Corsa can generate enough power and grip to test them can it??? I've tried a few tyres, and I like the Toyos. At the end of the day, since Nissan sell the car with Bridgestone's on, and they are happy with all their millions to invest and research and the Toyo is still better, I don't see how anyone can say it is crap. Same goes for the Falken from what others have said on here.
  18. Well I'm having 6" put in mine, and that's what I think they are bud. If they are 17cm jobbies, then the choice of speaker is drastically smaller.
  19. Volvo S40 diesel? PM me if it becomes an option.

See above so you're just gonna buy it for me, awww thats sweet Yeah i'm gonna buy it. And throw it off a cliff Top Gear style Make sure you drag it to the cliff while attached to the back of the Lambo...... If you want it bud, go get it. I just get the feeling you'll be changing it again sometime soon.
  21. Was that meant to help bud?? Anyone with a Blade Silver Zed, here you go! with a kit and different wheels apart from the wheels , colour, body kit etc etc its identical to yours hey its datsun

    Sunset at sunset

I'd ditch the dodgy number plate in that one.....
  23. See the link Gixxer gave you. To change the speakers, you need a pair of 6" components. You will probably need to pay someone to fit them, as the tweeter mounting behind the mirror is tricky to mount an aftermarket tweeter into.
