  1. It's the same pot with a different colour lid. Or at least that's what it looks like to me!
  2. Those that have a tub of P21S - spot the difference between that and the new AutoGlym HD wax.........?? http://www.highdefinitionwax.com/whatishdw.asp
  3. Hi, welcome to the site. I wouldn't expect the steering wheel controls to work with the phone. Headunit controls if you are lucky.
  4. Not too bad that. A few more coats and some sort of sealer and it should look
  5. My mistake, that is a Chemical Guys one, sorry. It looks like the Megs one is used before wax.
  6. I know bud. Before you wax, after claying you should polish and put sealant on. Claying pulls deposits out of the paintwork and the 'gaps' need protecting ie sealing up again. The only thing to add after wax is a glaze, which would last for just a few hours in reality! But looks when it goes on. Wash - clay - polish - sealant - wax - glaze. Sorry to bump an old thread, but I was about to order Megs glaze as recommended here, and I noticed that in one of the websites it suggested that this product should be applied before waxing, not after it. As I have several layers of P21S already on, I wonder if this glaze product will be of any benefit at all if I apply it now. Depends on the product and what it actually does. Glaze is a bit of a generic term. If it is something that hardens for wax to go on top off, then it can go under it. If not, it goes on top. Ask the supplier, but I was on the understanding Megs glaze went on last. Just bought a bottle of Megs glaze and it says on the label that it is a polish and that you should apply a good wax after it. Not at all sure what to do now, since I have lots of P21S already on the car and don't want to strip it off by using this stuff. What is the product actually called? IIRC Megs do one called something like Final Finish Mirror Glaze....
  7. Welcome to the site. Take a look in the meets section, you'll find a big drive out around Wales scheduled on 11th May - it would be worth going....!
  8. Looks like it could be interesting. However, EVO is not one of my favourites. Sure, once a year I pick it up when I am in an airport for a car read, but the whole magazine bugs me. You cannot read an article without reference to a damn BMW or Porsche. I am not disputing they are good cars (although I wouldn't have the former), but not every other car that is launched has a BMW or Porsche as it's competition. And then when you have the rest of the staff with their Zonda's and stuff, I feel like I am reading a car snob's diary and pub chat. Lets see if the online one continues the trend!
  9. Looks great, nice colour. Just get some sealant on those Rays asap......
  10. I agree with a lot of what has been said Phil. To a certain extent you are plugging a gap that supplies enthusiasts their cars AND can do the after sales mods and care. Go for it if you think you can make it work. (But you do need that southern outlet! )
  11. Forgot to mention, I will be having the carpet re-finished by a seamstress and will continue the upgrading of various interior bits over time......
  12. Cheers Beavis, the guys there helped me get my last car to trophy winning positions and they have a former European champion on their staff - the judging includes wiring integrity.... 3FIDDYZ, if you will leave your iPod in my car, what can I do!? I haven't put it up on my350z no, I may do! Rob, JL came across to take a look at the install. They know about it, and are interested in the box as far as I know. If people do want to contact the Sound Gallery, they will do you a top job, and will make sure you go away happy. You will get cheaper quotes, but IMO you won't get a better value one. 01494 464670.

    Whoa, slammed!!!

That looks awesome! Just not very practical!!
  14. As I as saying..... First thing was to take the interior of the car out. Prepare the car for work..... Cable needs to be routed..... And start the Dynamat work on the doors.... With the Dynamat result for the doors looking like this..... With that done, the attention is turned to the sub. Originally it was going to sit between the seats. Without going mental on the fibreglass and trimming and needing to spend a few £k on extra work for the rest of the install, it was contemplated and discussed and the idea was launched..... Fibreglass matting to take shape... And some shaping of the existing polystyrene block starts being done.... At the same time, the mounting rings are made up so the sub can be mounted in an inverted position.... And so the box starts to take shape... And built up and left to cure and shape in the car over.... And over again.... With the filler helping shape it perfectly to the space, the sub was test mounted.... So, while that is going off, what about the cabling. An amp rack was built to accommodate those listed above.... This also shows the IXOS fuse holder in place. And then it gets the capacitor added to it, and the Caliber amp.... And it fits quite nicely..... ......behind the drivers seat! Meanwhile the sub box has cured and gets carpeted and fitted.... Up front, the BOSE was ditched, and the American Industries fascia fitted and the Alpine headunit. Full iPod control, bluetooth phone and the steering wheel controls still work..... And there's a sub tucked away in the boot..... Unfortunately, the best bit I cannot get over in the pictures, is the SOUND. Even though the speakers are still running in, and I expect the midbass to open up a bit, I cannot believe how good it sounds. Ben and the guys at the Sound Gallery set it up with the Imprint and Audessy software, and I have tweaked it a tad, and I am blown away by the sound in such early days. I spent three years setting up my last car and it was not quite as good as this. Whatever your music taste, stick the CD in and it sounds amazing. And it will hit 138db if it needs to! Hope you like.
  15. I think it is something to do with Firefox. I have just switched to IE to see if it works and it seems to be uploading them.
  16. Yep, it was an error on fusing. All sorted now. Cheers for the offer, but I need to explain what a lot of the pics are!
  17. All will become clear... When I can sort the darn photos! But I will say there was no way the standard location was being used - too many holes and any box that fit in there would be too small.... Will take a look at Imageshack, cheers Gixxer.
  18. I have been trying for weeks too. I had a load of detailing pics to put up too.... Ah, I might have an idea.....
  19. Yep, and it won't work. Any other image hosting sites?? I am pleased with the sound, although as the speakers run in that will change. The vocals are a tad shouty at the moment.
  20. Photobucket won't upload anymore so I can't get them up at the minute!
  21. I even added a diesel engine and another 2 doors.
  22. I am trying to upload pictures and it just sits there on 0% and goes nowhere.....
