I actually got mine through Phil but it wasn't straight forward. It can be done, but commercially I guess Phil is saying it doesn't make sense.

I have a polished throttle body, and it is functionally fine. But they're not just bits of metal, they've got electronics attached. Powder coating would be very tricky with the heat involved I would think....
