  1. Thanks Brillomaster and everyone else (bar one) again, will let you all know when/if I get one.
  2. Thanks guys. Although it would be nice to have a newer car and with the slightly more powerful engine I think i'll look more towrds an older car that has less milage. I'd realy like an alezan interior again but there arnt many around.
  3. First post and already a sarcastic comment recived - nothing's changed in 5 years.
  4. Thanks, first post and I posted it in the wrong setion!!
  5. Hi all. I haven’t been on the site for years as I sold my 350 possibly 5 or more years ago. Anyway I’ve missed the car (Black GT Coupe, Alezan orange leather) ever since but am now in the fortunate position to be able to buy another as a 3rd car and just enjoy it at the weekends, plus the prices have dropped dramatically from when I sold mine. I’m tempted by a convertible and there are loads of both coupes and convertibles around the £9k/£10k and the 05/06 years. My question would be whether you’d recommend going for a higher mileage 313bhp (circa 50/60k miles) or go for a older but with less mileage 280bhp (or whatever they are) with say 30/40k miles. There are a few with even less miles than this. Any pitfalls from buying the higher mileage cars? When are the major services? Many thanks, Mark.
  6. Not really interested in communicating ‘personally’ with you. The comments were directed at fellow site users to advise them of my experience at ABP, this is the nature of the site recommending products and garages etc with comments, either good or bad. I was and still am at the thought, furious at the way I and the car were dealt with, I was 5/6 years younger and perhaps more naïve, if it happened now the matter would have been dealt with very differently. You have lost my continued trade over the last 5 years, I could have brought my previous cars and now the Z to you, but I would obviously never do this and have/would recommend other consumers to stay away from your garage. It’s obviously only my opinion in the end.
  7. It’s sold!!! (Well have the deposit) He seemed a really nice guy and seemed like he will look after it, have pointed him in the site's direction. Signing off now for the last time, cheers everyone!!! (Am going German and turbocharged!!!)
  8. Hope the standards of professionalism have changed in the last 5 or 6 years, ABP completely ruined the engine in a Saxo VTS of mine, valves hit pistons, mapping was all over the place etc, the car/I was palmed off on a local 'motorsport' engineering company to try and sort things out. Needless to say they didn’t and I ended up with an un-drivable piece of junk and lost many 000's. Give my regards to Chris - he'll remember who I am.
  9. It’s only been on Autotrader a matter of hours and already someone is interested, they’re coming to look at it 1st thing tomorrow. Appreciate the interest in the exhaust, but would mean having to spend the day driving to meet up with you somewhere at a garage and pay someone to swap them over, would be a lot of hassle, just for a few quid. See how I go. Thanks.
  10. I have finally received the V5 after having put my No. plate on retention, therefore it is now up for sale on Autotrader, would be happy to take a sensible offer. (The car has done about 9,900 miles now)
  11. Quick question – I think the Magnatec is fully synthetic, would it matter if I mix it with a non or semi synthetic oil if that’s what’s already in there? Obviously for all I know may be it’s already fully synthetic, was serviced by Nissan before I bought it so I don’t know.
  12. Bought some oil last night from Halfords, just a 1 litre bottle of Magnatec like suggested, 5w-30 (was about £9.99). As assistant came over to ask if I needed any help, I think he wanted to show off his computer directory thing so I just humoured him – they have got the Z as neading 5w-40!? Anyway I bought the 5w-30 as I thought you guys would probably know better and when I got home I actually checked it against the Hand-book….. which stated 5w-30 – so Halfords have got it wrong!!! Obviously not sure if makes any difference, but some people, like me, must just be topping up so presumably need the same grade of oil and if I hadn’t consulted you guys before hand would have taken Halfords advice and mixed 5w-40 with the 5w-30 already in there.
  13. Thanks No… I’m actually at about ¼ - 1/3 up from the minimum mark, how much should I buy and how far do I fill it up to? What type of oil does Nissan/the hand book recommend?
  14. Just need to top my oil level up, am probably at about ¼-1/3. Without having to wait until I get home and dig the manual out, could anyone please tell me what the standard oil is, i.e. what I should buy on my way home to ‘match’ what’s already in there? (what’s the rating and is it synthetic?) Also bearing in mind I’m at about ¼ - 1/3 how much should I buy and how much should I fill it up to? Thanks
  15. I've done an indicated 160 around the bowl in a PPP STI, felt fine also 160+ (not sure as I was concentrating hard on driving) in an NSX - possibly 170/80. The gabs/ridges between the concrete slabs that make up the surface hammer the sh1t out of the car, your back and your concentration though.
  16. Like Dash, ‘a friend’ of mine (got to keep Sarnie happy) did an indicated 160mph, both on the digital and speedo, he said that it felt like there was more to come, say possibly 10mph, so that would tie in with what Dash and TheMinel are saying.
  17. I'm with Liam on that, would look alright in black, its not too different to standard and they all look a bit chavy anyway - it is what it is.
  18. Would have thought everyone knows what a Black 350Z looks like!? But anyway, have just tried to attach the pictures the dealer sent me before I bought it but they were too large. I can send them to anyone if they are interested.
  19. 54 (November) UK Kuro Black GT with optional Altezan (orange) leather, all the usual GT spec and also the Rays alloy wheels. I’ve had the Nismo exhaust and brake pads/lines and fluid put on by RJN Motorsport – came to £1,500. I've bought the Nismo air filter, Nismo oil cap, Nismo radiator cap, boot-mat and luggage-net. from the dealer. Its got approx. 14 months left of the warranty, I bought it as an ex-demo from a Nissan main dealer in January, it’s done less than 9k to date. I’ve had it Permagarded twice, so the paintwork and wheels are immaculate, it doesn’t even need polishing. All in all it’s like new, the only blemish is a small scuff on the passenger seat bolster thanks to my girlfriend! So bottom line… bought it for £25.5 in January, looking at the prices on Autotrader this year and spec with the leather are going for around 22k-22.5k, so will sell it for the same but throw the Nismo stuff in for ‘free’ otherwise might think about taking it all off and selling separately. Send me a PM if you're interested (in the car, not the Nismo stuff for the time being), or any helpfull comments on the price as obviously i'm going to put it on Autotrader. Thanks.
  20. Have sent you a PM - am selling mine.
  21. Yes, it was bugging me enough to lightly sand it down and paint a 3rd coat last night – luckily there was not even a hint of wind and it looks great. I actually think it looks better for its 3rd coat.
  22. Strange question I know, but I had just done the 2nd coat on the front door and then a gust of wind from nowhere covered the front with dust/sand, does anyone know if once hard the paint can be polished with a cutting polish to get the bits out. Thanks.
