  1. Welcome over this side, fella!
  2. Tend to agree with Sinbad - Zed is a proper sports car with bags of style unlike the Beemer but can be a GT when you're not in the mood un like the Lotus. I see a guy in an S1 Exige most mornings on my daily commute - as I sat with my arse being gently warmed by the heated seats this morning I wouldn't have swapped with him for the world! Oh and welcome aboard!
  3. That's what you've got Saw a grey one, looks like a TT at first glance...still though My 'audi' has a bull on the badge though ...and loads of bull from the driver!
  4. This post has turned into Phil v USA! Seriously though, there is plenty of info to support the view that Phil adds value to what he is selling with his experience and general approach, however, my experience of other high profile UK suppliers was far less positive - high prices, poor service and a surprising lack of knowledge.
  5. Split from the exhaust thread as going OT.
  6. Hi Yatik - welcome aboard!
  7. Couldn't agree more, Mike. Not my area and you wouldn't ask your heart surgeon about your brain tumor....
  8. Watched the show last night and I've not seen presenting like that since Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood did the Brits (for those old enough to remember ). I normally love Phil and Kirsty but why on earth did the show have to be live? PS I don't live in Knowsley....

My comments are in the other thread. Great car!
  10. +1 If the prices are right, with your rep as being a top guy to deal with, I can see you being highly successful, Phil.
  11. Good stuff. Saw someone fleeced 4 hours labour by their stealer to do this! Yeah that was me! Stealer was doing a free P3 service as their salesman was rubbish when I got my car. Stealer principal did me a deal to do my next service free. So when they called to book it in I said could they do the pads and discs if I supply and thought it would be all inc. Ohhh how I was wrong! They charged me £300 for the pleasure! Still I will be calling the dealer principal once again after reading this thread! I wont be going back there in a hurry Sorry Chris, didn't want to sound unsympathetic, just couldn't remember where I'd seen it!
  12. Be patient, he's in hospital at the moment.

Interesting. I wonder why Alan's so against it?
  15. We are all set up for a good night out in Liverpool! And come back to our cars on bricks
  16. I used to find I was getting staining on the rear bumper but it doesn't seem to be anywhere near as bad since I got my NISMO zorst.
  17. Hi Jason, welcome aboard!
  18. Whilst I'm impressed by your "c'est la vie" attitude, Will, I can't fathom why you seem to just be taking this on the chin? If it costs you £2k for the motor, it'll still cost you a small fortune in labour to get it fitted by someone who knows what they're doing. If it was OK before it went in to Nationwide, they gave it a clean bill of health and then it went pop a few miles later, my finger would be pointing at them. You need an independent engineer to ascertain what the cause of the failure was - these engines don't go pop on their own. Whatever you decide, good luck with it.
  19. So if this and the Evo were parked next to each other, you would steal the Evo X rather than that?
  20. 'Fraid so, Kev.
  21. I'd take the EVO X over this anyday...
  22. I'm quite sure that those staying in Chester will hook up for drinks and a meal. May even pop along myself!
  23. Send me a cheque and I might edit it out for you....
  24. Thats rubbish. I'd like to see them try to decline a payout. The only way i can see for them to payout is if the car is registered to the kid but then the parent is insured as the main driver but even then thats very loose ground...... I'm not so sure. The premium and indeed whether to provide cover at all is based upon the premise that the policyholder is the main driver. The insurer will argue that if they had known the main driver was a 17 year old they would have been at far greater risk and entitled to charge a far higher premium or even decline to insure. It can hardly be said to be a trivial non-disclosure and if it is clearly done to mislead the insurer and avoid paying the full premium I doubt you would get much sympathy from the ombudsman or a court.
  25. Sorry, don't like canards either. Too fussy on a Zed.
