Last summer we went to England, Belgium and France for a two week holiday.

Z was packed solid with clothes etc.. but half way through the holiday before heading off to Belgium, I sent around half the clothes (worn clothes and whatever we knew we wouldn't use) back home via parcelforce to free up some space. Cost under £20 to do so and that was them insured as well.

Worth thinking about instead of a boot rack, can't see that looking nice at all. Only had the roof up once during the whole holiday when it rained one morning

I paid £150 providing my own oil for P2 service last Friday.

Do they do them in sizes for both the front and rear on the Z ?

If so do you recommend them and what type ?

Kinda need 2 rear tyres like last month I knew they were low but didn't realise they were illegal until service today

I got this from DVLA at end of January. Kept thinking get it don't get but glad I did in the end, really sets of the car, not had a private plate for a few years......

I got my Z in the local newspaper in Lille, the concierge guy was fascinated by cars and they did a story on it with a large picture.

Got copies of the paper but no idea what the article says as I don't do French

used Rain X on the last car. Very good stuff to the point where you don't need to use the wipers at all in the rain as it just beads off.

Pack of 500ml Rain X and 300ml Foaming Rain X Glass Cleaner for £3.71 at Costco if your a member.

White is nice and if I get anymore stone chips on mine it will look more like white than blue.

I was the same - liked the idea but cost a bit too much for what it was.

I took one of the sets and their last 4 packs of filters and last 4 bottles of shampoo

Filters supposedly last 10 washes so that should do for now

Where did you get your P1 service done? I just paid £190 for a P1 service (with them providing the oil) at Parks Nissan Ayr. Think I've been shafted!

Shafted ain't the word mate.

It was Arnold Clark in Livingston. Don't exactly rate them highly but they perform better when they get paid directly for work.

Problem is that one is 6 miles from my home and any other dealer is around 20 miles away.

Might try one near Edinburgh as I could go there from work but any others are just a hassle.

I'm hoping final price will end up being a little bit lower as they quoted me £130 for P1 service with the oil and the final price after taking off oil and 10% discount was only £92.80.

Can't complain really, from memory 1st service for my 1.2 Clio is about £150 and I also paid that for the MG ZR that I used to own.

Just called for a price but they don't exactly fill me with confidence....

Them: What car is it for ?

Me: 350Z

Them: Petrol or Diesel ?

Me: Shakes head and says ffs to myself - Petrol

They said £180 and around £160 without oil. I didn't mention it but I also get 10% off as I bought the car from them so that would bring it down to £144.

I will wait and see what others paid but that isn't too bad seeing as I have the oil sitting anyway.

I managed to get it down to £140 with my own oil. Some of the dealers (in fact a lot in a chain) around here wanted £230 upwards, so pays to shop around, knock a bit off then ring the next one.....

well by lowering the tax to 20p from 22p in the pound I guess he is giving you anallowance to pay for the car tax....all seems a bit ironic really.

That was the big surprise. Does it come into effect the now or was that delayed until 2008 ?

Don't know much about imports but would imagine it would be when the car was first put on the road.

Nothing would surprise me though....

no they didnt charge me, but the new disc is valid from March and my old one runs out in april, so effectively its cost me approx £16

The 'K' is the validation character from your V5C. Nowhere on your tax disc does it say tha it's the band.

Nah, I don't think it is a typo b'cos it's printed on my Tax Disc and the Tax Disc reminder form that came thru the post.... I'm looking at it now.

 

I just paid £190 to renew until 31.3.08 which I thought would NOT be the top Band (my Bro has a Shogun and paid £215)...

I don't know what you are looking at but band K does not exist. band G is the highest which was the new band introduced in last years budget.

Does your brother have a Shogun registered after last March ? If so that will be band G.

As I don't intend replacing the 05 350Z I'm kind of happy but it isn't fair on owners with a band G 350Z.
