  1. Love following this thread, great you are putting so much time in and getting so much enjoyment out. And the car looks amazing, some of the track shots are beautiful. I appreciate it may be a bit bitter, could you elaborate on the extent of the rust work that was done please?
  2. Well this is a very old thread! I've just got a spare plenum to start polishing and seeing this thread has got me thinking about getting it painted instead, even though I've now bought flap wheels and the like... To get it powder coated, is it not worth getting most of the pitting out? @timb2010 how did this end up? I wonder how long the shine lasts and what sort of maintenance it needs. @Wasso your work is incredible and I appreciate the time you've put into this thread. Does anyone polish plenums for a fee?
  3. How does it look now? Did you have to coat the plenum to protect it? I plan on doing mine whilst it's off to do the rocker covers! Lovely bay that is!!
  4. @Jon T @ZMANALEX do you guys still stock these? Will need replacements for taking my skirts off. Cheers.
  5. Sorry to dig up an old thread... polish your strut? I'm looking at improving mine, I was planning on giving it a flash with scotcbrite then primer, silver paint for the strut and black for the brackets, and lacquer. Did you polish them?
  6. What sort of oil pressure was it running at when you noticed the issues?
  7. Fair play mate your Z looks amazing! The wheels look lovely. It sits really well.
  8. Thanks both for your time in getting back to me! Sorry for the delay, things are manic at the mo. Hopefully I'll get the plugs back in on Friday (limited due to working hours, weather and daylight access!!) So will be in touch. Cheers all
  9. Hi all, Did some servicing this weekend and noticed some oil on the first plug I pulled. Research shows valve cover replacement time. Had a good quote from @ZMANALEX in new parts. However looking at the job I'm not sure it's something I want to be undertaking in the evenings after work etc out in my parking space.. MY experience is fairly limited ,have good tools, seen engine work been done but this would be my first time doing this myself. how long should I expect it to take? Anything difficult to be aware of? or should I consider getting a quote from an independent garage? what would you expect labour cost to be for it? Thanks for your support! I'll get the plugs back in at least so I can drive it!
  10. Hey, I have PMd you about these, I'm looking to purchase a set for 54 plate DE. Cheers.
