Firstly, a big thanks to Martin for organising this meet - I know from experience that car club stuff (organising events, writing articles for the monthly mag etc) can be a time consuming and sometimes thankless task.
I really enjoyed seeing so many Zs together in one place - since taking delivery of my Nismo back in February I'd only seen one other Z on the road before yesterday. A friendly bunch too, had a few good chats! I certainly hope to be able to attend other meets as and when they are arranged.
The trip up from Gatwick was a massive pain, so for the way back we cut down to Kew Bridge and out to the M3/M25 that way - nowhere near as bad as the way up via M25/M40/A40. Back home, the trip computer showed that it had taken nearly three and a half hours to do 101 miles 😒. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see the average MPG was 29, compared to my usual 20 when pottering around locally.
Anyway, a few of my photos from yesterday.

Welcome along. Must say those wheels really do suit the car.

Hi all. As in previous years we are planning to meet at Cobham Services on the M25 and drive to Ace from Cobham. This is ONLY for any forum members who are confirmed attendees from the submitted list to Ace and NOT for anyone just rocking up and wanting to come ON THE DAY. We will be there around 9.30 and will be leaving at 10. We will park on the right of Cobham Services as you come in on the access road, farthest away from the food court. Anyone is welcome to join us.
Martin
Subject to any known issues on the morning, is the intended route going to be M25/M40/A40?

I was actually not going to leave home near Gatwick until 11:00, getting to the Ace around 12:30 ish.
However, I'm certainly up for a group convoy so will endeavour to be at Cobham by 10:00. If not, see you there.
Just note, I'm not very familiar with Cobham Services but will try to find you going by the location description from Martin.

No, I had no clue, but I know now. Extreme Signs did a perfect job and Copthorne is just 15 mins from me.
Is that a red roof and bonnet on your old Z? That did cross my mind but I thought I'd test the colour first.

I would normally change wheels on any "hobby/interest" car of mine, just to be individual (ish) but not in the case of my V2 Nismo. I've a couple of cosmetic mods to do this month (red roof wrap and Z burger badges) but that's it really. Oh, I had the rear screen tinted a couple of weeks back as well.
Less than six months ago when I was looking for something different, I'd never even seen, let alone heard of, a 370Z Nismo. It struck me a something pretty much perfect straight out of the box, particularly the wheel style. Handy really as that's probably saved me a whole heap of money changing them!

Never seen a shot from above of the Nismo.
Those rear arches look SOOOOO VOLUPTUOUS
PS. 10 out of 10 for choosing THAT parking space next to the disabled bay and parking right up to the yellow line.
I thought only I did that
Haha yes, that was taken at work this morning, the prime spot which only early birds get. Get right onto the yellow line, leaving room next door on the left to keep anyone who parks there at arm's length. Thing is, with only 20 or so spaces currently used out of what must be 400 available in our own car park, there's plenty of room for socially distanced parking! 😄
I'm actually amazed I got the car so straight reversing in just using the camera!
