I know we're only just gradually coming out of this winter and nobody wants to think about the next one, but just to put it out there Goodwood have announced their BC schedule for this year.
Vee-Power Sunday, 6th November 2022 - bookings to register for track display are being taken now, which I've just done. Hope a few more Zs can make it.

Heathrow exit just hell....Shame youre on the inner M25. If you were on the outside id say go through Windsor/Ascot/Slough Better roads and get on the M40 and its plain sailing till you hit the 40 all the way to Hanger Lane.
Traffic getting off A40 onto the A406 another car park with lots of idiot drivers. Since youre all in a convoy youll have to sit in it unless you leave at 8-9.
I think we did M40/A40 actually. Couldn't face it on the way back so cut down over Kew Bridge, then A316 to the M3, M25.

Saturday traffic begins at 10AM till 2pm in that area. Earlier is better.
Yeah, it was a complete ball ache. Straight outa Cobham into creeping traffic. Well over an hour from there to Ace.

Early bird catches the worm… I have just booked our annual Ace Cafe meet for Sat June 11th 2022. This is always a very popular meet and Ace are busy so it’s in the diary nice and early.
Just a thought in advance Martin, but if there's going to be a rendezvous at Cobham services again could it be a bit earlier? I can't recall what time we met and set off last year (10 ish at least) but the mid morning M25 traffic was a nightmare.
I reckon a strict 09:30 departure would see us at the Ace not a lot before 11:00 anyway.

Delayed a bit and got there just before 10 (divert off the A25 at Brockham turn-off with half a dozen police vehicles blocking A25 both ways and mega congestion in side roads)
Yep, I saw the signs for that road closure. I later learned that it was a bike accident and the fatality was a friend of a friend of my daughter's.

Let me know of you find anything, I only noticed it when I got it home for a thorough clean!
All clear thankfully. Thanks for highlighting the issue, will be keeping an eye on that area.

Jeeez, that's not good. You can guess what I'll be checking today.

Pleased to see that one Z got along at least - did you talk to the owner? I think he's on this forum.
Were you there quite early? Later in the morning the car park became pretty full.

What's the score with these now?
2017 V2 Nismo.

Feel I can't miss a great opportunity to come along to this meet and give the i30N some exercise especially as the weather is looking kind
I won't be there in the Z, but a couple others might be.
Going to be cold so I can't vouch for how many will attend.

i30N? Funnily enough I'm looking into one of those - the new 2021 model.

Next one, Saturday 5th February.

this is what i was hoping to see feedback about, to understand what is the usual thing to see. so thanks for sharing.
And I forgot to add, the car was with Abbey for a few days for tuning and dyno runs a couple of months ago. They'd have noticed if something was amiss I'm sure.
If still in doubt or concerened, you could always get a check on the battery/charging system carried out.

Hi Folks
noticed the volt meter is not going up to its usual 14v and has dropped to 13v and been having a few flat batteries so I think the alternator is on its way out.
does anyone know where I could get a fairly newish used one from at all? would prefer to go OEM rather than aftermarket.
TIA
How is the voltmeter actually supposed to behave? On start from cold mine goes around to 13/14v ish, then drops slightly after 5 or 10 minutes. I'm not aware of any problems and don't have any battery issues that I'm aware of.

How did I miss this post?
Great event, if not a little frustrating to get to via the M25/M3. Count me in again this year.

Damn I can see why you regret selling it, that's a beautiful car.
I think I'll keep it tbh, its just not a great start to owning it! They remap really well up to about 450bhp with only a few basic mods, so power wise its brilliant. Feels about the same as my HR with it mapped to 360hp, but it is much heavier
I know, I had it for three years and was the first owner in the UK after it was imported from Japan. Oh well....
Good decision on your E91.

Yep it's a bit of a bummer 😅
New engine all in will cost me about 3k, it's sort of put me off the car though, so I'm thinking of just flipping it once it's all running well.
Only issue with selling it is I'll never find another one like it... BMW only made 19 of the LCI 335i estates with a manual, so it's not something that comes up for sale very often at all.
Hopefully once the new engine is in my love for it will come back! The 3 litre twin turbo engine really is great when it's running properly.
I love old BMWs and miss having one for shows etc. My last one was an E39 540 Sport, a Jap import and in perfect condition - I regret selling it.
Depending on your circumstances of course, I'd hang on to your E91. Rare and certainly a modern classic, good looking tourer as well.

Z owners come from a significant distance away (see Sim above in Leicester, for example) and even further.
Fortunately, I'm only about 12 miles from them!
