  1. Hey Team, Jusy clearing the garage, and my Z isnt blue... All these parts will need attention before paint. Please check the pictures as some are cracked or badly scuffed. Rear bumper and side skirts are poly. Front bumper is frp. 100 for the lot. Open to offers. Down in dorset. Take care x
  2. Hey Team, Happy bank holiday, hope your all well! So recently popped off to HDev for an Uprev. HDev Plenum Berk HFCS Miltek Cat Back Took the 350DE out for its first spin since driving home from HDev and threw an EML P1283. A/F sensor 1 (b2) From initial research looks like its either Faulty sensor Air Leak Hdev suggested an initial reset and to monitor. As for the work, ive fit everything myself. The plenum was installed using only the gasket supplied, no RTV and all bolt torqued to spec. Whats everyones thoughts? I thought as the car has just been mapped this could be throwing the eml? Or does a tune not work like that in relation to the sensors? Car was driving fine for about 2 months with the plenum before the tune. Certainly no P1283 code, so im reluctant to take it all appart again. Any input is greatly appreciated Thanks team!
  3. Hey team, hope you and your families are well! Jusy ran a search for 'exhaust compatability'. Nothing returned lol. So running a full miltek with berk hfcs. Love the sound, but on the more frivolous drives i do often crave a little more volume. My question relatea to the cross play of the exhaust systems out there, possibly more specific to the back box. Do most exhausts have the same coupling locations, orientations etc so you might be able to run say berk hfcs, miltek y pipe and a cobra back box? In my position it would be easier and more convinient just to swap a back box over say the summer months etc etc. Just wondering if anyone had similar experience with this. Cheers in advance team!
  4. Hey gents. Bit of deep water thread revival. Hope your all well! Hust thought I'd pitch in, just finished painting the centre console and upgrading to an Xtrons, iso mod yada yada... I purchased the ebay generic incartec style facia plate. I looked around and from the pictures, any 350z specific facia plate available in the UK is the same. Fits the dash perfectly but not an Xtrons unit. I beleive if your running say a jvc or pioneer it would fit perfectly, but xtrons make their units larger for some reason. I did purchase a specific 'universal' xtrons facia plate. Its just square that I think is meant for a cage install as it doesn't have any screw fixings like the Z one... I've given up for now. Can't find one. Can't make one. It's such a shame. How's the foam looking? Anyone found the magic part yet? Would love to fill that gap.
  5. Hey Team, Scratching my head currently, and trying to refrain from buying every available plate on ebay to see if it fits... Bought a 7inch xtrons double din head unit. 17.6cm accross the width of the front. 10.1cm accross the height of the front. Got a scosche double din plate and its just a bit too small. It won't fit around the front of the unit. Anyone got any ideas. Knows of one that fits... Thanks in advance guys.
  6. Hey team, hope your all ok. Question. Is it possible to buy the silver rings that surround the tripple guages? I'm painting the dash and only got one out intact. Womp... Or even anyone got any used/spare?
  7. Here here Stu, I became heavily invested when the hammers came out. I have a degree in smashing things
  8. Thats good to know buddy cheers. Ill take another look before buying paint. Think i might struggle to get it done professionally at the moment.
  9. I was leaning this way bud. But I do really like the OEM look... Plus I heard after a while, heat/sun on the dash can undoo your hard work?
  10. Dear Chris, you make my knees wobble Genuinely mate, when I caught up with @Beb and he said A. He'd last left the buggy at yours, and B. Your working on it over isolation I was so excited I could barely walk out of my garage. Really is a treat watching the progress your making, I can imagine it's allot of extra hassle to picture things along the way and write it all up after, so thanks for the effort buddy. It's much appreciated. Fun fact. Me and Simon had one of these within the last 10 years. We had the mk1 bugrider 250. Now I know these things take a fair bit of abuse with very little maintenance/fabricating, they will eventually go bang or snap but considering your playing with it now it's gonna be unstoppable and will eat up Salisbury plains. Did beb mention huw also has the same buggy as you guys? And there is 4 of us on road legal Chinese monkey metal bikes that would love to join you when finished? Anyway, back to the buggy. We smashed the absolute crap out of ours straight into a tree, front left wheel and arm took a beating, snapped rack ends etc lol. What's the reg. Is it our old one? Thinking back PGO made a few versions of these. Bugrider 200,250,300 and the RL500 The mk1 like we had was air cooled and ran effectively a moped engine with the final drive going through a very very crude transfer box in order to give a reverse function, this very quickly exploded internally, took it appart, made it worse, only went forwards from that point haha. Oh and before it exploded when you went into reverse the back subframe would clunk and hunker down due to the torque on the chain so bad it would cave the exhaust end can in. It started as an oval, evened up as a rectangle haha. The mk1 also had a fixed rear axle with final chain drive, linked suspension so you would get thrown around somtbing absolutely rotten going over uneven ground. Oh and tensioning the chain was a pain in ass!!! Mk2 started running water cooled heads and now had Independent rear suspension through shaft final drive. 300s are pretty damn rare, 250s are around, but like you found the transfer box are often monkey metal mush. When you and @beb said your going to get the big one, did you mean an RL500 or somthing propper like a joyner kart? I still don't think the the RL500 has a gearbox, all though I beleive it has a high and low range box and they came standard with a winch. Woop woop. Most of these things have been badly converted to 600cc bandit engines. But like you discovered the back end design is a shamble and it just gets hacked up... Anywho, an absolute load of useless information from me, but as you can tell I love these things. Never should have sold mine. Stay safe gang.
  11. Or is just coats of satin enough?
  12. Will do buddy, So what we thinking guys: ISO clean the panels Slight rub down Plastic primer Satin Black Lacquer coat?
  13. Hey Asad. Just sent you a PM buddy. Hope your all good team
  14. Nice one buddy! Looking up the trader for emblems now. I think satin black is the way to go, did you use a lacquer on top? Door pulls are ok, but the mirror control section is scratched to buggery so probably satin those too. I meant the actual opening door handles on the outside. Key marks and chips galore. If I can get satin Z badges I'll probably try and match the door handles to the same color? I think...
  15. Hey Team, Hope you're all well amidst the isolation. Resisted messing with the Z so far, only fit Berk HFCs and a plenum spacer RIGHT, 15 years old got a few things to spruce. Door Handles Centre dash and Shift surround Front and Rear Emblem/Badges With regards to the door handles, after a search I don't think anyone has a color code, however I want to keep them as OEM silver as possible. Does anyone know what the typical color (rattle can) people go for? Is it a satin silver, gloss silver, halfords 1234 etc etc... And with regards to the primer, is the outer material plastic, so are people using a plastic primer first? With regards to the centre dash and shift surround, decided again to keep the OEM look as much as possible, leaving the bubbled effect in place, but again what color are people using to match the rest of the dash, mid sheen gloss black, matt black with a laqer etc. As for the badges, wow these things are expensive, wanted to stay original nissan, however I could go with the Z logo replacement ones if it saves me dollar. Cheapest place I've found for badges is WISH (ahhhhh dear), about 8quid each unless people know of a much more reputable place to buy these things? Thanks in advance for the help guys and gals!
  16. Yeah. Got one of these Bluetooth ones on the way
  17. Cheers buddy, looking forward to the uprev to take advantage of these small mods. Some may say even tasteful lol. Wish I could just turn off the post cat sensors for now myself until the remap. I am getting bloody good at the pedal dance now though!
  18. Shoot @14N a private message mate. I think bearing the current circumstances we may have to wait a while ;-)
  19. Hey Team! Hope you are all OK and your families are hanging in there too, what a bloody palava... Anywho, back to the 350. So, Tarmac very kindly sent some Berk HFCs down, had the joy of fitting these on me tod on the drive with axle stands on a 70k 350. Great fun lol. H Dev also sent down their plenum kit which I fit yesterday. I've run the car with just HFCs and all together with the spacer, get the same P codes, it feels like with the spacer on it takes a little longer to come on. So a little help, I know all these codes are basically post cat related, however I can't find info which tells me what 'bank' refers to which cat, i.e. Driver or passenger side. The same code always comes up: P0037 which bloody cat is this lol, I'm guessing it's the passenger side? On one drive I did get a cocktail of codes: P0037 P0159 P1167 But now I'm just getting the 0037... Its weird how both sides are symmetrical, so I would assume I'd get a code of each post cat 02 sensor, so maybe one of the sensors is actually dodge? But then they were working fine on the OEM ones. I've done my reading, I've spoken to H Dev and REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY want to go get the UPREV map, but Boris closed my favourite garage. Bastard. I did think about the steel wool trick, but the berks have anti fowlers built in, and don't really fancy a bodge on my car. Anywho, kind of a catch up, slash some questions in there. Hope your all good, looking forward to hearing you all say I shouldn't have ****ed with it in the first place
  20. Its a slick look buddy. I like the trim on your boot matt too. I've not had the Z 2 months yet. First mission is to get her tip top. I've repaired and painted the seats, sorted airbag and ABS lights. Hoping to hear from @14N soon!
  21. Nice one buddy. Didn't realise you could get that carbon effect with a hyrdodip! I've got a sunset Z with black interior. Wondering what divider combo to ask @14N for...
  22. @14N dropped you a PM. These look GREAT! Martin where did you get your rear brace cover from. That's lovely!
