  3. Thank to everyone who gave info, gave me plenty to think about and mull over. This is what I could understand from the wonderful vague laws! I'm not interested in track days, I'm purely for the thrill on the road, plus perhaps being that obnoxious neighbour once in a while. I am contemplating either the Tomei, or just going non-resonated Cobra, as I do feel like as much as the car suits single exit, the bumper doesn't so like the dual exits. Over the years my ultimate goal is NA 350 BHP from a Rev-Up engine, which might cost a bit but I believe is achievable.
  4. I am looking at getting a Tomei y back and was wondering if anyone has and if they have issues with MOT tests or police?
  5. Amazing info already guys. @SuperStu shall guide me nicely. I shan’t be using the pressure washer or hose, just the old fashion elbow grease! Really glad @ilogikal1 came in as well, he is a wonder with detailing! what sort of steam cleaner would you recommend? I probably won’t need as the car is well looked after with only 30k miles and kept in the garage so pretty good but definitely needs a spruce up. maybe a bit of a rinse down afterwards is possible? Perhaps I’ll use a watering can so I don’t use too much water! im stuck abroad at the moment but promise I’ll do some before and after shots when I get round to being able to crack on!
  6. Hi all! I am keen to do a complete engine bay clean, but have no idea really how to do it. Would it be possible for any help and guidance, plus what products everyone suggests?
  7. I’ll try and come along one day once all this mess is over. I’m near Harlow so not far to go for me.
  8. Hi all! Time to ask another question to gather some information and make a nice informed decision. I need to replace my rear brake pads and so will do the disks at the same time. My front are okay for the mean time. I do not take my 350 on track and don’t necessarily go exceedingly fast where I need super power to stop but I would like to upgrade a little for safety and comfort. which set do people recommend? I am thinking of getting EBC slotted with red stuff pads. TIA!
  9. Spotted a nice black OEM looking 350Z in ware at Asda car park today. Anyone on here? Nice private number plate by the way
  10. Weather was nice yesterday so took the chance to install the rear bumper lights! It took a few hours to do, with help from the wife, but finally the finished product is very much worth it! Even managed to not break a single clip, and after a misalignment the first time putting the bumper back, the second alignment was perfect! I got the lights from TORQEN, very fast delivery and no complaints about customer service. One problem I have experienced actually though is the light fitment themselves. The just don’t quite fit absolutely perfectly for a perfectionist like myself. There is a slight gap underneath between the lights and the bumper, and also a bit of a gap between the light and the bumper on the closest side to the wheel. I will try and get some pictures today and upload for everyone to see! Before: After: It refreshes the rear in my opinion, and it is nice to have matching reverse lights as well as bright brake lights now!
  11. Thanks a lot! For me it was the blue or yellow. They both just stand out so much! Such great colours Thank you! Would you believe me if I said I haven’t washed it since July!? It has been sitting in the garage though chilling. I might clean today as the weather looks quite nice. Definitely need to do the wheels. Too much brake dust
  12. So couple of things done recently. changed to stubby aerial finally. I just couldn’t decide if I wanted to do for so long then finally plunged in and did. Made such a difference! So glad I changed. —> I will take a picture and upload when I get the car out the garage next time! Finally today was a big day for the girl. Had the front compression arm bushes replaced. They were suggested to be changed by Horsham back in June as they were deteriorated so I upgraded to Superpro. They look like a beast of a bush! She also handles nicely now! Also got the TORQEN wheel spacers. 20mm for the front and 25mm for the rear. Love the stance now! Before: After: The wheel alignment sheet was quite interesting. Must get some adjustable camber arms some time In the future but hands down to Horsham for the wonderful adjustment they managed to do on the rear! Once again many great thanks to Horsham Developments. Like I’ve said before I cannot recommend them enough!
  13. Welcome to the Z ownership! Hope she brings you lots of fun and joy!
  14. Nice thread! Really good to see the progress, and ultimately the improvement in the end. Cant wait to read more in the future! Keep it up and keep enjoying buddy!

    Spacer Torqing

So I recently bought 20mm and 25mm spacers from Torqen and I was wondering what torque spec I should tighten them to? I am going to get a torque wrench so as I don't do any over tightens and snap anything

    Bonnet Damper

Hi all... I am thinking of getting a bonnet damper, as in my opinion it not only looks better but makes it much easier to access the engine bay!! What are the views on this one? Any experiences with it or any others recommended? T
  17. Looks like the veilside definitely... There's another type like the one I have attached below. The who owns this is in the UK but not sure if it is the same spoiler. She has a stunning looking car. Kudos to her!

    Spoilers!

I didn't see this topic before I posted in FAQ, perhaps the mods can delete, and I'll piggy back off this if that's easier? I'm looking for the following 'wang'. Does anyone know what it is called or anything? Its not a Nismo v2 as it is slightly different
  19. Hi all... I am looking to see if anyone knows what this spoiler is called, where it can be bought and anything about it... I am very interested in this addition for my blue baby. It has a carbon top, which is not perfectly straight, but dips down the middle slightly. and has blue on the sides and bottom. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks in advance, Kaikora
  20. Not much has really been happening since getting the car. Have had a lot of fun driving it and learning more. Took it to Horsham Developments a couple of weeks ago to do a P3 service and a general check over. They are absolutely fantastic! I cannot recommend enough. Showed me under the car so I could take some photos and also explained and showed me everything that they had done. Very pleased with the condition and looks tidy and clean underneath. To do in November/December: replace compression arm bushes To do next year (probably at service): rear break pads - maybe I’ll replace disks as well although I’m not sure yet. In the future the exhaust will need to be replaced also as it is starting to show signs of wear but should be good for a couple of years yet as I don’t drive it much and it is stored inside. Below are some more washing pictures because we all love that! On a side note I also got this: Got to support the All Blacks as I’m a Kiwi, and I’ll also be in Japan during the World Cup, AND it’s Japanese
  21. That’s great I’ll have to find this guy, definitely can’t be you I’m sure!
  22. Thanks for that, I will have a look. Gyeon stuff sounds quite interesting and I’ll check out car chem too. Gotta start somewhere, so I appreciate it
  23. At the start here I will have a list of modifications done so it’s a nice and easy quick read. 14th Jun 2019 - Work done at Horsham Developments P3 Service Spark Plugs Changed Coolant Changed Gearbox & Diff Oil Changed Advised to have front compression arm bushes replaced. 15th November 2019 Changed Aerial to Stubby 19th November 2019 Superpro Front Compression Arm Bushes replaced TORQEN 20mm front & 25mm rear spacers fitted Wheel Alignment 20th November 2019 TORQEN Reverse and Turn Signal LEDs - clear fitted ——————————————————————— So I got my 350z, thanks to all who helped me out with information. I have always enjoyed reading everyone’s build thread here so figured I might as well do one as well. I am not really sure what I want to do yet, but only time will tell. I use as a second car, and enjoy as a road car. Only had a couple of days, but the first thing to do once I had gotten it home was to give it a nice wash and de-haze the headlights! The car has done only 33k miles, is in real mint condition with no marks anywhere. A few stone chips on the bumper, and one day I will get it resprayed but for now not noticeable. I used the Meguires 2 step Headlight restorer. A lot of people recommended using toothpaste and there’s lots of good reports about it, but I had my ‘heart’ set on using the meguires stuff. It was so easy to use. I masked off the headlight and applied a bit of the liquid to the supplied brush/sander. Proceeded to brush in one direction the headlight and once I was happy with the hazey look (which gets a bit concerning at first) You wipe off any excess with a damp cloth. Finally the last step is to use the spray that is provided and voila! It clears up the headlights beautifully. Definitely recommend Meguires there! Before: During: After: You can definitely see a difference! Makes the car look a hundred times smarter! And Lastly some pictures of the car after its clean. I am a Autoglym guy, so I mainly use only their products. 1. Wash down with the hose 2. Use the snow foam (actually just use a demon foam which plugs into the hose, as my jet wash is broken at the moment) 3. Wash down with the hose again 4. Use Autoglym Shampoo and Conditioner 5. Use Autoglym UHD Shampoo, clean wheels with Autoglym wheel cleaner 6. Wash down with hose 7. Dry 8. Clay bar 9. Super Resin Polish 10. UHD Wax Finally I headed inside, and did some internal cleaning. Wiped down the leather with wipes, cleaned the dash and steering wheel and also cleaned the glass and polished the glass. So much nicer having a car that you’ve cleaned lovingly! So in the future not sure what to do really. I have lots of different ideas; Tinting, suspension, refurb alloys, air intake upgrade, radiator, REMAP, etc. So just doing some more research, taking time and enjoying as it is for now. Can’t take that smile away from me while driving. Wonder if people are looking at the car or my grin from ear to ear!!
