cheers guys, really helpful. I was just going to run new cable through the door grommet, dont want to be doing any drilling! For the sub power, can i splice into the amp power cable so only have one cable going to battery? Speaking of this is there a grommet in the firewall or by the battery to get into the car itself?

Hi all I could do with some help with wiring. I want to put new amp, sub and speakers in, already have the headunit previously fitted. I know i need a wiring kit for power and ignition turn on plus other bits in some i have seen but looking round there are so many, any recommendations? I dont want anything too powerful in terms of sub. Im going to get some bog standard OFC speaker cable unless there is recommendations for this. Ill need to do it in stages as ive spent all my money on interior and mechanical but i want to do the wiring in one hit, as long as the end is taped and secured & not connected to the battery i assume the cable will be ok sitting in the engine bay (not connected to the fuse either) and the ignition wire will be ok to hookup and leave taped in the glove box? I also have a reverse camera to install while the dash is out, i can wire up to the cable on HU for the reverse switch but my question on this is, i have a reverse sensor buzzer that is exposed and when i go into reverse it gives a beep, im presuming this is then powered. Can i splice into this rather than the actual reverse light cable as it will be much easier for power and reverse switch?

Does anyone know if the Nissan Leather is dyed or painted? I want to do a proper clean and condition but if its been pained the conditioner is useless as it wont absorb so will need to be cleaned and sealed.

I change my spark plugs last weekend and one of them had oil on i was told its either the rocker cover or the gasket has failed. It was only one plug the one closest to the bulkhead on the drivers side. Im getting the gallery gaskets changed in a couple of weeks, would it be worth just changing the gasket while its getting done or will it likely be the actual cover?

Hi everyone ill be changing my W brace for the ultra racing one soon and also want to replace the bolts but cant find despite searching what size bolts i will need. Ill prob be doing the same for the front lower brace as well so these would also be handy to know. Thanks

wow, thats an awesome price the discs alone are coming in at over £600

Tarmac also have the ebc redstuff and slotted disc set coming in at roughly the same price.

I've just bought a 350z and the brakes aren't great so want to replace all round. I have a budget of around 500 and have sort of narrowed down to RTS performance discs and HPs 5.0 pads. Is this a good combination? Any other recommendations? No track use but like to drive spirited on the road.

Thanks Jack. I drive spirited but no track, that's why I thought dot 5.1, higher than dot 4. That's what I meant proper bleeding not mixing fluids

I have seen the big fluid list and was pricing up the motul rbf 600. I called Nissan to compare to their own super heavy duty and was told that they only use normal dot 4 in everything Inc 35p and 370. Only the gtr has a different fluid. I will not be on the track at all. Do I need the motul or could I use normal dot 5.1 as it's less than half the price. I'll be doing a full system drain and bleeding all the calipers and will also be doing the clutch.
