What bolts did you use to bolt the back arms down to the base in boot please

    Bolts that come with it.

Hole on passenger side doesn't have a thread but I managed to get it threaded in and make a thread by rocking back and forth.

Turbo kicks in at 2500rpm in sports mode if you have the Abarth 124.

The Abarth was sold with the Monza as standard in the UK which gives a reasonably loud (but not droney) exhaust sound, not raspy its a deeper tone with burbles (not pops and bangs) on the overrun. I don't know anyone who has changed the Monza for a Ragazzon - think that is more in the US where the Monza wasn't standard. I have watched a few video's of the Ragazzon and really don't like it.

I have a friend with a Abarth 124 from brand new - I couldn't believe how loud the stock exhaust is for a stock car!!

Must be very little muffling in the rear silencer, since the turbo will be doing a fair amount of muffling.

Yes mate MPS4S they are 305's on the rear 265 on the fronts, they were around 1k with a discount at costco :)

Ahh - didn't think there were as many wide boi tyre fiends on here.

    I'm going 285/35/19 / 265/35/19 Trofeo R on my Z shortly... 😎

    £1200 on tyres for a Z?! 😬

What size and model are those; PS4S?

Without adjustable toe arms, it became a juggling act aiming for correct rear toe without excessive camber. Less camber resulted in greater toe in.

I'm so glad I went with adjustable toe arms as well as camber and got rid of the spring buckets.

    Looking good.

I'd have recommended repainting a few more coats on the Ultra Racing brace - mine is surface rusting all over after 18 months.

Other thing is - I never even knew there should be kidney brace/chassis stay covers! Mine must have lost them years ago!  I replaced the kidney braces with new OEM in late 2018 - took weeks for delivery from Japan as per usual!

Oooo yeah, coil springs corroded all four corners. It says front sub-fame corroded but they could be referring to the W brace which always rusts and can be replaced. It also says Rear vehicle corroded as well. Then the subsequent MoT all that has gone away, worth checking to see how they repaired all of that

haha usually just means it went to a different tester

Thanks very much for the advice guys, really appreciate the detailed write ups! I'll keep looking, as I'm running 17's with the factory OEM JDM wheels should I just look for some nice 18's so I don't have such a big trade off with ride quality? Or would you guys still recommend 19's?

Ahh I forgot about the 17" option.

So they are 658 and 668mm tall.

If you really like those wheels and/or they're a great price then maybe go 225/40/19 and 245/40/19 which are 663 and 678mm tall. The taller the combo, the better aesthetically it'll look as there will be reduced/minimal arch gap, without compromising on ground clearance which can be an issue. You could then drop the car on -20mm springs for example and still be close to stock ground clearance and have almost zero arch gap.

You'd move down from a 50 profile tyre as OEM size is 225/235/50/17 to 40 profile, which will look 'sportier' and have less roll, while still maintaining decent comfort.

  9. On the front you'll have approx. 6.5mm more arch gap and 6.5mm less ground clearance (lower)

On the rear you'll have approx. 18mm more arch gap and 18mm less ground clearance (lower)

    Pros -

    Lower centre of gravity

    Stiffer sidewall for flatter cornering

Size and offsets of the wheels are very close to OEM so fitment is fine

    Cons -

Thinner sidewall for less comfort (~30% smaller!)

    Less ground clearance.

The biggest problem is the ratio between the front and back. - as standard the front is slightly smaller than rear - the spec you have stated is smaller at the back.

This will result in traction control cutting power at anything more than about 10mph and make the car undriveable with TC left on.

Solution - change the rear tyres for a 265/35/19 size. You'll still have very slightly less ground clearance, less sidewall for comfort and slightly more arch gap though.

    Stock wheel/tyre heights are -

    225/45/18 = 660mm

    245/45/18 = 678mm

    Your proposed -

    235/35/19 = 648mm

    265/30/19 = 643mm

    (265/35/19 = 668mm)

Might look better with out all the red, and the tan seats

    Remove vinyl on bonnet

    Remove vinyl on hatch

    Remove eyebrows

    Remove rear light tints

Change rear bumper (not a fan of CS rear)

Otherwise looks nice with the 40th anniversary Z graphics :p

Hi don't know if anyone has had this issue before,  bought and changed for ebay ones before 2yrs down the line and gone again.  Got some from conceptzperformance over the pond when ti put them in and for some reason my old ones came out easy but when I put new ones in there lose by about 1mm on bottom where it sits in hub.

    No... didn't have that issue.

However the threads were shorter than OEM and I had to use the new supplied castle nut instead of the OEM one as otherwise couldn't fit the cotter pin.

  13. I'd base a buying decision if deliberating between a few, strongly on the underside condition.

Have a look at the subframe/chassis stays areas ("kidney braces") in front of the rear wheels, around the jacking points front and rear on both sides, and the exhaust mid section heat shielding areas if possible.

Also look up into the arches with a torch around where the shocks mount.

Somebody was looking for this on the forums on Facebook yesterday, also seems a bit over priced? might just be me

Without looking at the ad, £7.5k for a 58 plate seems very normal / low side to me??

Thats my concern on chasing more than that.

The problem is people see usa numbers and feel robbed in the UK

Easy access to E85 will be why. Over here you'd either need to run race fuel or methanol injection to hit the same power without detonation blowing it.

... or lower compression via forged pistons of course. Limit after that would likely be around 700whp on 97-99RON fuel from what I've seen.
