  1. Great, cheers mate - do you sell the gaskets and have a linky ?
  2. This has probably been discussed before, but can't find reference to this particular question.... I have bought an aftermarket 3" mid section and backbox and can't afford to replace cats and Y pipe just yet - is is OK to mate a 3" mid section to a stock Y pipe ? If so, what gasket for the 2.5" to 3" connection should I use, I assume the 2.5" ? TIA
  3. Sorry to jump in OP, but I'm also looking at this right now How does the Cobra res system noise compare to a backbox delete. I have tried finding decent sound clips but not many out there
  4. Any chance of adding clear front bumper reflectors for the later 350 model (06) please
  5. I would keep with the plans that you would be most happy with mate, rather than bend over now. Even if you are refused you will have the opportunity of a "free go" and submit a reduced scheme which would almost certainly be approved and probably not go to committee As I mentioned before - what's your architect say about it all, as he/she should be all over this - or have you fallen out ?
  6. I would reiterate leonk’s questions But, I’m not sure whether you app has been refused as you state the P.O. said you can attend the next meeting, which suggests all is not lost! You also say you have a “very good architect” but tbh he/she should have monitored progress and quashed the committee’s concerns. If you haven’t had a refusal and are still able to defend the app, I would suggest you gather as much info on local extensions (photos, positions on a location plan etc) to arm your architect in readiness for committee. If you end up going to appeal this will still be needed anyway. Are you familiar with the rules of permitted development? If not have a look on the planning portal website, where you’ll find guides on how big extensions are allowed to be, along with simple rules on heights and distances to boundaries etc
  7. Well I’ve bought one, turned up only 25 miles from me lol its an 06 on 67k and pretty well mint apart from a couple of very minor blisters on the roof, which I’ll get seen to Not a fan of the wheels but with the lower price I’ve got a couple of grand to play with
  8. Hi and welcome from another noob I too come from the mini fold, having a pretty well modded R56, which disintegrated pistons (twice) and currently a high power R53, which has also just disintegrated BE shells haha My advice - if it's modded get shot soon my friend and look forward to the fight over the ads
  9. Cheers for the welcomes guys Have been looking deeper at the models and as I only do around 2k miles a year won't be getting hung up on HR power/RPMs and as far as I can see the only other changes are superficial apart from the bonnet Also been doing my research on the gasket issues if I went HR, it doesn't seem a biggie as long as it is monitored and budgeted Quick Qs - I have read that the oil pressure gauges aren't super accurate, is this a mechanical or an output reason - I have a Scangauge 11, would that provide a more accurate reading ? Are there any reliable indies in the Suffolk/Norfolk/Essex area you would recommend for servicing and general mechanics gaskets included ? Thanks again Ian
  10. Hi mate - sorry black's not an option for me due to my inability to clean cars, apparently it is an inherited disorder Nice motor though, GLWS ............... rushes off to research gaskets
  11. Hi everyone, I’ve just joined up and thought I should say hello I’m here because I’m on the hunt for a 350Z and would rather buy a forum car, so will be trawling the ads and maybe start a wanted thread in due course. Always had a soft spot for these, but with kids and other clobber haven’t had the chance to own one. Now we have a bigger family motor I’ve put my foot down (well, the missus has sanctioned it) so will be purchasing a Zed in the next few weeks. I come from pretty highly modded mini’s (T & S/C) and have suffered three catastrophic engine failures in the last two years, so will be taking my time and appropriate advice when it comes to mods. Look forward to getting involved and coming to some meets in the near future Cheers Ian PS - I have an £8k budget and have been looking at the newest models I can, but does the additional few bhp on a 2007+ make a real world difference, or can I cast my net further ?
