Well, that's me stuffed for a start.. currently can't go beyond 5k revs or I risk detonation due to using 95 Ron:-(

I need to get it mapped for both fuels, pops n bangs and a CHEAT me things lol

I use Tesco Momentum 99 or Shells Nitro.

Do they not supply decent fuel around you or are you just cheaping out on a few pence :p

Also with decats and a good high flowing exhaust system you should end up with flames like me.

Would a map of pops and bangs actually give you flames ?

Nice set up on that Zed and those flames look awesome.

What revs were you at to make it flame buddy ?

It possibly would, if you asked the technician to map it so it dumps a little extra fuel on the overrun it 100% would. But that just bad practice and cheating :p

Mine makes small blue flames every now and then when giving it some welly and shifting at about 5/6k rpm. But to make those kinda flames that you see in the video you have to rev it to the red line or just before.

What system do you have? Rrrrrrrr!!! B) Did you have pop and bang mapped on it?

Hasn't been mapped (Yet) I have as follows.

    Berk Decats

    Japspeed Y Pipe

    Cobra non resonated mid pipe

    Cobra Sports Backbox.

Just with the above she pops flames out of the box :D

Here's a still from the video

  4. Just finished installing my exhaust system, didn't expect it to flame but as I did a fly by one of my mates he noticed it flamed, so I installed a camera took it to a rural quite part of the A1 and unleashed hell off the rev limiter and this is what the camera captured.

    Hi Jake,

I did a lot of reading before I fitted this and didn't see anything like that. I can only see that being a possibility in turbo applications, I don't see how holding the RPM by cutting fuel can put pressure on the crank, its not as though I'm building up pressure (as you would be in F/I applications). Have used no lift shift loads too.

Ive had it fitted now for almost a year and not seen any issues with it so far. Used it a few times on the road, which is probably ill advised, but I have attended 3 drag racing sessions with the car/system and obviously it got used and abused there with no ill effects.

Awesome thanks for the speedy response guess I'll order mine now then :D

Just a heads up, I placed an order on PSITuning and even though their website doesn't state they're out of stock they are. And they won't be getting any in for a few weeks, tempted to get a refund and order it directly from the land of the Bald Eagle.

What times did the VQ's get on the strip?

Most I saw were getting around 14.4 there was a grey one picture above with the Jap spray paint job under the bonnet dunno who's it is but I presume it's turbo'd or pro charged that hit low 13s if I'm correct.

  7. I expected another R35 thread... but damn. Love the R34. IMO the best looking, but inside needs work hahaha.

Lovely car, and good luck with your search. Extra points if you get one in midnight purple ;)

R34 is where it's at, id take the R34 over the R35

  8. As above

Chatter yes, snapped crank, never heard that and we sell a lot of flywheels

I've had lightweight flys on most of my cars and its never particularly bothered me, personally I would go for the lightweight rather than ultra light though

    go for a heavier one?

    Would be less chatter

    Is that chatter that bad?

And I intend to boost it eventually in which case I thought you lighter the better.

  10. StopTechs in stock, all parts in this pack: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/brakes/pack-deals/8886-350z-stoptech-fr-brake-discs-pads-lines-and-fluid-pack-slotted-brembo.html

You can select just the discs and pads if you don't want the lines and fluid.

I commend your efforts Adrian but sometimes I feel like you don't even read the threads, I mean OP was talking about finding aftermarket ones that were significantly cheaper than the OEM £590 ones. You just linked some that cost almost 30% more than that....

  11. Following on from heel and toeing, for gawds sake don't try to left foot brake while moving slowing in traffic... you'll press the pedal too hard, then the anti stall instinct will kick in and you'll depress the clutch - except it'll still be the brake pedal, so you'll come lurching to a stop AND you'll stall, and you'll be thoroughly confused and worried you've forgotten how to drive.

surprisingly, left foot braking is also easier on track, little dab on the brake with your left foot while mid corner to tuck the line in feels surprisingly natural.

hahhahaha funny you should mention that, first time I ever tried left foot braking I thankfully made sure I was in a large empty area...you'd never think you'd stop that quick when using your left foot.....

Haha we've all tried it, your left foot is used to slamming the pedal flat to the ground

  12. Very nice and at least unlike the Porsche owner you managed to park within the confines of the box. ;)

The Porsche owner is smart, the car park looks fairly empty and it's human isntinct to park next to someone. So if you don't want some douchebag whipping open their door and denting your car you park like that :)

  13. Dashcams are great I think everyone should have one. I also think insurers should offer discount if one is fitted. I can see why they won't.

Some insurers do give a discount , I've had £50 off from one and £30 from another so my camera is paid for many times over , in fact getting this footage got me £200 which I split with the Supra driver because I'm a nice guy

I have a Blackvue front and rear facing one now and its excellent it has wi-fi so I can see/save/upload footage on my phone , I used to have a cheaper G1W in my daily and they are ok but you can certainly see the difference between it and a more expensive one

    G1w footage

Hahaha I love how the supra just spins out in front of you and you carry on your drive like nothing happened  didn't even check on the poor fella.
